are any countries 'done'??

hi,

i kinda understand that agceep is a work-in-progress. but i'd like to know if there are some countries that are more 'complete' than others with respect to events and interactions with its neighbours/rivals/allies? thanks

Well, every, or at least most countries are playable, but every country might get upgraded with new events, leaders etc, so you can't say it's done, or ever will be done. If you want countries in which most work was put in, I would say it's Dauphine, Venice, Ottoman Empire, Austria, Aragon/Castile and Portugal. With them, the gameplay will be most 'polished'. Yet other countries are as playable and will offer just as much fun and challenge.

I can tell you that Southeast Asia is not "done", though passable and enriching up to 1700. There are some gross things that need to be remedied, mostly in the end, but even some initial setup needs to be reformed.

I am not sure if putting the Vietnamese under Chinese control from the get-go is the best way to simulate the situation. Especially for gameplay purposes, this disallows the player from playing Dai Viet, one of the biggest players of this time period once they found their empire in 1428. I tried to remedy in my initial mod by having a 1428 scenario, but that is not an option now for the AGCEEP now due to lack of a coder/scripter.
Also concerning this, whether or not giving China vietnamese culture is valid is also up for discussion, as well if the beginning revolts are harsh enough to award this "prize".
Meanwhile, the civil war in Vietnam between the Tran and Nguyen midway through the game is not properly tested yet, and the Vietnamization of lands that Vietnam historically conquered (Cham, Lower Cambodia) is not implemented yet.

^This is just some specifics for Vietnam. There is stuff that needs to be done for the Thais, Laotians, etc.

thanks guys for your responds I am almost finish with my austria game now. since most countries are good for play, i'll pick some exotic country this time...but will avoid SEA (too bad coz i come from those area).

Hehe. Please do not avoid. I knew I was shooting myself in the foot. You should still have loads of fun as the Thais, and they have much room for expansion!
