Hjalmar Tott dictates a letter to the Empire
" Concerned Parties of the German Reich,
It has come to our attention at the Unionsrad that there are a number of misconceptions floating in your midsts, as to the nature of events transpiring here in the North.
There has in fact been a "changing" of the guard so to speak, at the helm of our leadership. The treasonous and war mongering former Regent of Sweden, Sven Knuttson, and his compatriots, have been removed from office, and relieved of their lives. This in retribution of their crimes.
However, let me be clear, that this turn of events is in the greater interests of all peoples, especially those in the Reich.
You see My lords, Knuttsons betrayal of the Swedish noble and people was his unsanctioned involvment in foreign affairs. He allowed his nation to become the lap dog and lackey of foreign interests and powers.
You yourselves have been witness to these crimes, what business did Swedish men have dying in the fields of Germany? None except to do the bidding of land hungry war mongers.
If my legimaticy is questioned, it is only by those who long to see the days where they used our troops as cannon fodder for their wars of aggression. I have the support of a super majority of Unionsrad members, and the overwhelming support of all the people, especially those without sons, or fathers, or husbands.
The new government wishes to pursue a policy of introversion, where military force is an option only where the integrity of our territory, or regional interests are threatened.
I can only hope this has clarified any misunderstandings.
And of course, The Union Council extends its congratulations to the new Kaiser, may his ascension , ordained by God. Lead to peace and prosperity throughout the Empire.
