The Ambassador from Cyprus

Four men enter into the court room. They are large muscular men who hold in their hands their helms with a Burgundy crest. They are wrapped in Great red cloaks and have the Lambda of the Order of Laconia on their shields. The court recognizes them as the Spartiarti nobles of Cyprus, famed for their military heroics in their war of independence and in their Crusade with Genoa.

A man steps forward from the four. Your lordship I am the Cypriot Knight Lachides and have been sent as Ambassador to Eire by the twin Kings of Cyprus. We would like to formalize closer ties with you and I bear a letter from my lords.

To Austin of the House of MacRobert, Sovereign of Eire.

I cannot says that our nations have had a good relationship in the past but I think it is time to make amends to this for I would sorely like to avoid conflict on the British Isles.

You are a good Scotsman just like I and we both owe fealty to the one King of Scotland, his Majesty King James of Scotland. I thus appeal to your honour and your oath of fealty that all nobles give to His Majesty before God to submit to the Crown of Scotland and lead your marvellous conquest into the fold of Scotland and bring Eire as a vassal into Scotland.

Consider you choice well. Your duty to your King demands it and the Crown of Scotland will consider a refusal as a betrayal of our shared motherland and an act of rebellion.

Though a war went on, days were happy for the Irish, children played Eire vrs Scotland sword fighting. Scot-Irish even showed the support for Ireland by either leaving Scotland or wearing Green all day.

Though some people sailed to Scotland, Meath was a danger area after a merchant said he saw Irish troops on the march in Meaths direction. What shall become of the Emerald Island? A war zone? Or a Country crazed over the freedom of Dublin?

Your collaboration with our mortal ennemy, England, is unacceptable and it just confirms your evils intentions against french people.

France only declared war upon England and Normandy, they didn't declare war on Brittany, Portugal, Aquitaine, or even you. These nations declared war upon France by themselves in order to pillage and subjugate our subjects.

I'm sorry but I can't let this happen. Our geographical position doesn't allow us to fight, but when peace will be settled, we will remember your betrayal and we will not come to your help when you'll be England's next target.

I have a message from Jean I, Duke of Bourbonnais for Austin MacRobert, King of Eire.

It is up to you to honor your alliances, but when you do it is you who declare war against the country who has itself declared war upon a member of your so called "alliance". The aggressor, the Kingdom of France, has no intentions upon your lands, he only wishes to liberate the rest of France from foreign oppressors. The fact that you decided to honor your alliance and thereby declare war upon the Kingdom of France is a declaration of war of your own to protect your so called English friends. The Casus Belli of the Kingdom of France against Kingdom of England is legitimate, you had no rights to interfere!

I thought your principal target was Meath, but now I see you wish to take over all the brave lands of Scotland. God is still watching over you and won't be very happy to know about your evil intentions. May he have pity of your soul!

A letter from Scotland arrives in The Royal Palace

To Austin of the House of MacRobert, Sovereign of Eire.

Your shameful attack upon Meath has repercussions.

You claim to be a descendant of the House of MacRobert, yet you make war on Scotland. The family of MacRobert has thus asked the High Court to expell you from their family, this has been approved. You thus may no longer wear the name of Clan MacRobert, the Clan's tartan and you may never return to Scotland.

The High Court has also convicted you for High Treason of your motherland and thus you are sentenced to DEATH, as is appropriate for a traitor. Any Scotsman is free to kill you with impunity, though I would prefer to have you executed in Edinburgh, where all Scots may see your treasonous face when the executioner raises the axe of justice.

Further, your accusations that the actions of Scottish judges are 'sinful', I remind you that Scottish law is valid in all of Scotland and that Scottish law is good and christian. Your master does the same, your allies do the same, every European nation does the same. Your whining about the deaths of a few meaningless people merely show your weakness of character.

I eagerly await your death.

His Majesty most graciously accepts your diplomat to our court; however, he is quite busy at the moment, as are his foreign ambassadors, and as such I regret to inform you that he was not able to reply in person, nor will he be able to assign a diplomat to Eire at the moment. Hopefully, a Danish representative will visit the Emerald Isle in the near future.

Your Majesty, I am Jean Charest, Comte de Cérilly, and I came here to act as an ambassador in your Great Kingdom of Eire.

My primary goal here is to improve the relations between our countries for the security of both Irish and French people.

Furthermore, I have a message from Jean I, my honourable Duke who has received your last message. He is suggesting you to recall any attacks you wanted to make in Scotland, but to strenghten England's defenses at your will. So the rest of Europe won't be offended by aggressive actions you could have made.

MacRobert had left the Castle, and only the 'evil' Prince William (as the locals called him) stood there. His wild black hair, and his pale skin made him look like a madman. His age was 24, un-married (for a reason).

He had a broad sword at his side, and a black shirt, and black pants. That was all, nothing fancy or royal, just that. He would be the 'Mordred' from the Arthurian legends. William was known for his cruel orders.

After reading the note, he giggled. William gestured to the guards. Jean was taken by both arms and moved out side into the cold night. William laughed. The other diplomats stood in fear of there turn. William just sat down in the throne, looking at all the diplomats in the court. One slight move and they might be next...

"IT'S A SCANDAL!"

Jean was so angry he started to shout to the castle.

"Don't you know the term diplomatic immunity?! Since I'll have to stay here as long as my Duke wants, I demand public apologies for this! The King will hear of this rudeness and will punish you!!!"

Then he left and decided to go to the closest tavern to take a drink.

William was have some of the best fun he had in awhile! He ordered the guards to stay in the Castle when William go and find the Diplomat.

His first look was Brodo Tavern. It was named after a very Famous cardinal. He found the Diplomat drinking a very fine Ale. William sat down next to him. A sudden shriek came out of Jean. William grabbed his shoulder.

"Don't think I didn't hear you, which King are you talking about? My father? Or Mister Charles down in France?"

The whole Tavern sat in silence, almost frozen. The First man that walked in, found himself in the glare of William. He ran out very fast.

"If its my father, then I would not do such a thing, he isnt at the castle right now... If you tell my father I swear that you will be inside a dungeon right along with the the other 'tellers'..."

Jean knew that there was no 'Tellers', because of how William had a small bit of fear in him, more then just another scolding...

William popped out his sword and poked Jean in the chest. He stood up and laughed. After leaving the drunks either stared at Jean, or went to another Tavern in fear!

To Austin of the House of MacRobert, Sovereign of Eire.

Your 'Federation' is losing on the continent to the glorious troops of France and so it would be prudent of you to consider your options.

I shall make you an offer of peace. Read it in the knowledge that it will be the only offer you shall receive from me and that rejecting it will force us to annex your entire island when the English have been dealt with.

o - Return Meath to Scottish sovereignty.
o - Swear an oath of vassalage to the Crown of Scotland as is appropriate for a Scot.
o - In return, we shall pardon you your crimes against the Crown of Scotland.

You will no doubt keep it at the end of the war, and for once have you're entire Island officially and legally under your command. The Evil Scots' military is all but destroyed, and they could be overrun by the English at anytime. If Scotland even thinks of sending they're troops over to your Island, then it would be suicide. We have just scored a great victory over the French in Picardy, We, along with the other federation members have killed every last French "soldier." Unfourtunetly, as I am told, the English have had massive losses too, and the Duke of Brittany has been killed.

I hope to visit your now unified Island after this war is over, and it will be safe to travel by boat once more.
