A short man with a rather disarming smile walks into the court whistling a merry tune. He aproaches the king and bows low before him, never losing the smile upon his face.

"Greetings your Majesty,
My name is Paul Von Huber, and I am here on behalf of my Duke. Wilhelm IV of Hannover. You may be wondering how exactly I got here as Hannover has no port of her own, and I will be the first to admit that I am thankfull for that majesty as I find the seas rather dreadfull. Anyways the reason I have come here is becuase my lord has sent me on a most important quest to restock his supply of ale. That is what lead me to your fine realm, as the Irish are reported to have some of the finest pubs in the world. The problem is Your Majesty, As I wandered your lands looking for such a pub I became lost, and the locals not knowing who I was did not help me very much. So I decided to come here Majesty and present myself to you hoping to kill two birds with one stone, as the old saying goes. First I bring the greetings of my Duke, who although knows little of your realm would love to learn more as it is a very beautifull place. Second I was wondering if you could send me off in the right direction for finding a good supply of ale, as my lord is getting most anxious for it. I hope this can be the begginings of a long friendship between are realms"

Von Huber then bows low again and steps back, whistling another tune to himself as he admires the paintings on the wall.

At Warwick. The King speaks.

I say! De Cryer, old chap get this fellow some water and a chair. Quickly now man!"

The chamberlain gestures to a servant that promptly supplies the require items.
He looks at the Irish Knight, while he gathers himself and sits.

"Sir knight, I am not very happy to hear of the fall of the last Monarch of your land, as we had good relations."

"However I am pleased to accept you, Brian Swelth, as our ambassador from King MacRobert of Dun Sconeleft and Eire"

"Is your king not aware that by wanting release from vassalage after a Coupe, he shows disrespect and a definite lack of protocol?"

"We have been good allies in the past and I would hope that after a short time of becoming familiar with each other we can re-aproach this matter of your vassalage, for it is not impossible."

"As it stands, your King owes us homage and in return gains the protection and friendship of the English crown"

"I require his presence at his earliest convenience to speak in person on this mater."

"As for "Getting the British Isles into one alliance, so that we can fight off Evil where ever it be". I agree. So I hope you wont create waves with your Scottish brethren. Instability on my borders will not be tolerated"

"I have a mind to create a situation that should be most pleasing to your Monarch. But it is for his ears alone."

"I propose we start talks immediately, with Scotland and my dominions to further the cause of Gods will and the West."

The sounds of a man humming a rather raunchy tune to himself carry into the court, and all look uo to see Paul Von Huber of Hannover walking in another smile plastered to his face. He walks up to the King with a joyous bounce in his step and bows low before him. To add to the bows dramatic appeal he flusters a red hankerchief around as he rises.

"Your most great Majesty,
I have great news to tell you. I have procured enough fine ales to keep my Duke in his cups for many years to come, not that his Grace would do such a thing." He wispers to the King in a conspiratol tone."The reason why I have come back to your court is to say, goodbye as I have very muched enjoyed my stay here in your lovely realm. Also if it would meet with your majesties apporval, my Duke would be most delighted to send an ambassador to your realm. I now must be going before those scundrels in the boat drink all the booze."

With that Huber bows low again, twirls the hanky around and begins to leave. As the court settles back in, they hear a finale roar from Huber through the window as he begins the verse about what druken sailors find for distractions during shore leave.

Oh my!

MacRobert runs out side of the Court to speak with the man from Hannover.

"Oh hello there my friend! If you wish I could grant your realm with a sea of Irish Whisky! You havent had Ale untill you have had Irish!"

Paul Von Huber's smile was a wonderful smile, MacRobert smiled him self.

"Good luck on the trip home, and a boat and crew will be sent to Hannover as a gift on behalf of the realm!" MacRobert says, "Good bye now!" as he twirls around, his green cape flys right infront of his feet. MacRobert comes crashing down with a clank of metal.

"Oh thank God I had my plate on today!" MacRobert thinks as he stanks up, his pale face becomes Crimson as he hurrys off to his chambers.


When MacRobert came out of his room in slightly less armor, he walks up the the English man and speaks softly in a very scottish accent, saying:

"I am glad you met Brian, he was sort of a pesky fellow, also losing something of mine. Anyway, I would like to say, I want our nations to become friends, not enemys. But Eire is in a time of Reformation, a new Goverment rules over the Nation, a new begining if you will...

We belive the old King was just afraid of the Mighty English hurting the Emerald Islands children. But now we are in need of a new Economy, we want to be as strong as any country on this side of Europe, some look down at us and think we are just the Poor country that English are Overlords for, we want to be known as the grand nation of Eire!" MacRobert throws his fist in the air. The Court became silent. "Don't worry about Eire and Scotland, that was the past. Currently Scotland controls Meath area if my sources are up to date. We want our grand city of Dublin back, its more Culture then need." MacRobert sits down and sighs.

Lord Baldrick Blackadder, Earl of Dartmouth arrives in the court of the King of Eire.

After his credentials are read to the King he bows, with the clink of chain mail and speaks.

"Royal greetings to the new monarch of Eire, MacRobert"

"I am sent by my King to represent him in your fine land and asks me to present you with this gift of good Scotish Whisky recently imported from that fine land and two tones of the finest English mead for your pleasure"

"I am told to ask you when you will be answering my lords request for your presance at Warwick?"

"He says you have a lot to discuss and looks forward to some recreation with you whilest you visit."

"He also assures you that in England you are already considered the "grand nation of Eire" and hopes that together we all might become even greater"

"Will you travel to him in state or casualy?"

A young man enters
Your majesty, i am Charles de Chenonceu, sent by his majesty Charles VII to serve as ambassador in your nation.

His majesty also want to point out that the "rumors" as you call them are considered rumors untill we have solid proof.

A man enters the court with a letter for the King.

"Your Grace,
We are glad to see that the once so proud Irish people have opened up the court again.
The man with this letter is Heinrich Huebner, my new envoy, hope that you will send one to me as well.

MacRobert stands up and

the king says,"Oh goodness, more visiters! To Oldenburg, I am happy to have you here. I would never dream of hurting such a wonderful nation!" He then looks to the French diplomat with a more stern face, "Let us hope that they stay rumours, I will not tolerate a war with my Anglo brothers!"

A man dressed in the style of Bavaria enters the King of Eire's chamber and addresses the king,


"Greetings I am Balthasar von Hidelburg Ambassador to your court from Bavaria. My Duke Wilhelm Albrecht wishes to thank you for your kind words and sending of scholars to Bavaria as was spoken in the Imperial Diet. I hope i am accepted as ambassador to your court, and my duke wishes for you to send an ambassador along with your scholars to our dukedom."


Balthasar von Hidelburg awaits the king's response.

 

[MacRobert]

"oh yes of course, I shall send some as we speek!" the king replied

MacRobert calped and turned away, a woman came, she was a rich wife to one of the deceased knights.

"Jeun, you have wanted to be a Diplomat for awhile right? Well come I have got a job for you..."

They hurry into the corner and start speaking in Gaelic, she quickly ran upstairs to her room to pack her bags...

"Good King my Duke has accepted your ambassador and sends four large vats of the finest Bavarian Brew made by the monks of Munchen themselves. He thanks you for the wiskey and the scholars."

News from Auvergne

A woman enters the court and bows before giving a letter.

"My dear King of the clan MacRobert

It is with sadness and fear that I have heard about your feelings over the tensions that are present in the Kingdom of France, and its vassals. The Duchy of Auvergne is a very pious and peace loving Duchy, and God blesses our realm.

Though everyone praises peace, everyone fears war. The overwhelming support of Queen Giovannia, a long time bitter ennemy of France, with no loyalty and of questionable Faith, is troubling us. Also, we have news of ships near the kingdom of Provence, bearing th English flag. My informants tell me of English troops on board.

Now I tell you, good King of Eire, why would the king of England do these kind of actions. I know him as an intelligent man, from my ambassador to England, Contesse de Montaiblanc. Wouldn't he know that ships transporting troops near our coasts would be regarded as suspicious? Wouldn't he know that giving Queen Giovannia such an elaborate celebration would make France even more suspicious? I cannot conceive how the King of England wouldn't have seen that.


I hope that Faith is still strong in your lands. Years of war in France and Auvergne made our Faith stronger than ever, and now that God has blessed us with Peace, we look forward spreading Christianity where it is put in doubt. Would the need come, I hope you will be able to do the same.

"Thats how you feel huh... We have not mentioned war with you for awhile. Chances of War are slim. But if France should make the first move, I will join in with England, if you were to join with us, I am sure you would be welcome among us in the war vrs france! But you must remember, War with France is the last thing I want at this time. Go run along and tell your leader!" The King said. He prays France will not start a war.

The woman looked strangely at the King. She said:

"My good king, I am but a messenger for Marie de Berry, duchesse d'Auvergne, who is travelling in Southern France right now. May I advise you, if your gracefulness would allow me to, to write a letter to her, mentionning your intentions, as spoken by yourself. I am sure my duchess, under the reign of His most august majesty, king Charles VII of France, will be glad to hear that, like our king, Eire just wants peace. May God bless your intentions, as they are wanted by all partis.

"

She bows again, and leaves.

MacRobert claps his hands, "That task is complete". MacRobert heads for the table to start working on other projects.

Trumpet sound as a messanger from the Duke of Bavaria brings a gilden invitation with the symbols of the Dukes of Bavaria and Duke of Brandenburg upon it.

You are cordially invited to the joining of the House of Wittelsbach and the House of Hohenzollern with the marriage of Duke Wilhelm Albrecht of Bavaria and Lady Elisabeth, daughter of the Duke of Brandenburg. "King MacRobert is not here at the moment... I am Prince Austin, I will be the leader untill MacRobert returns from his travels" Austin says,"I will leave notes for the King when he gets back, rent a hotel or something" The young man says and walks off.
