The Renegotiated North African Mercantile & Prosperity Agreement (August 1445)
The Zayyanid Caliphate and the Mameluke Sultanate recognize the opportunity for continued stability through cooperation in joint-prosperity, and thus seek to establish vigorous trade across Islamic North Africa. Therefore:

{A.} Wealth & Commerce
[1] The Zayyanid Caliphate allows the Mameluke Sultanate and traders of Mameluke origin unfettered access to the markets of the Zayyanids. A tariff of no more than 5% will be assessed on spices, salt, and learned books.

[2] The Mameluke Sultanate allows the Zayyanid Caliphate and traders of Zayyanid origin unfettered access to the markets of the Mamelukes. A tariff of no more than 5% will be assessed on Christian slaves, copper, and iron.

[3] The Zayyanid Caliphate agrees not to directly trade in sub-Saharan markets in East Africa.

[4] The Mameluke Sultanate agrees not to directly trade in sub-Saharan markets in Central and West Africa.

{B.} Security of Islam Through Brotherhood

[1]In the event that a non-Islamic power invades the Maghrib, the Nile Delta, or any other portion of north Africa, the Zayyanid Caliphate, and the Mameluke Sultanate is honor bound to declare war upon the invading force, and move with all due haste to repell the invasion, until said invasion is repulsed.

[2] The Co-signers agree to allow the forces of the other to quarter in and pass through their domains.

[3] When economically feasible, both the Mameluke Sultanate and the Zayyanid Caliphate agree to loan the other monies requested for military ventures in a declared war. In accordance with Islamic law, no usury will be charged and all loans will be repaid within six months of the end of the war.

[4] This agreement can be renegotiated, or strengthened, if both signing nations agree.

Upon this day in the year of our Lord 1444 the Kingdoms of Portugal, Castile-Leon, France, England and the Republic of Venice do hereby ratify the treaty of Minoan Confederation, and forever proclaim their undying devotion and faith in our lord and savior Jesus Christ, to the Holy Roman Catholic Church, to His Holiness the Pope, and to the Minoan Confederation.

I. Nature of the Minoan Confederation

By the will of God the great nations of Portugal, Castile-Leon, France, England, and Venice have been graced with great prosperity, wealth, and national pride. Recognizing that these five nations are extremely independent and proud the nature of this Minoan Confederation shall be based upon these very important ideas.

A. Venice shall greatly allow the Confederations capital to be located upon the ruins of the great Minoan capital of Knossos.

B. In order for the Minoan Confederation's capital to rival any capital in Europe the nations of Portugal, Castile-Leon, England, France and Venice shall each invest 200,000 ducats to build this new and grand city of the Mediterranean.

C. Located in this capital shall be a great palace with 6 significant wings. The center hall shall be created in the ancient style of the Minoans. Within this hall shall be located a grand reception hall with five thrones made of gold. These thrones shall be placed at the same level and be created in the same style of Minoan Civilization.

I. Spreading out from this main central palace hall shall be located five wings.
1. The first wing shall be created in the style of Castile-Leon and be home to that nations leaders and citizens.

2. The second wing shall be created in the style of Venice and be home to that nations leaders and citizens.

3. The third wing shall be created in the style of Portugal and be home to that nations leaders and citizens.

4. The forth wing shall be created in the style of France and be home to that nations leaders and citizens.

5. The fifth wing shall be created in the style of England and be home to the nations leaders and citizens.
D. Also located within this grand capital shall be a great Senate hall in the Greek style. Within this Senate hall shall be offices to house 100 senators and their staffs, and a grand Hall of the senate with a dais located in its center. Placed upon this center hall shall be five equal thrones each bearing the symbol of the confederation members nation.

E. A great labyrinth shall be rebuilt in this grand complex in honor of the Minotaur. In times of war enemies of the confederation shall be placed in the labyrinth in the style of the myth. Several bulls and other ferocious animals shall be set loose upon said enemies.

II. Organization of the Minoan Confederation

A. Each nation shall enter into a non-aggression pact and that of military alliance with each other. In order for the four nations to remain independent bodies each shall send a delegation of 20 nobles as Senators to represent their nation in the Confederation Senate.

B. The power of the confederation shall lie in its senate with each nation's ruler holding an individual veto.

C. In order for war to be declared the Confederation's Senate must reach a three-fifths consensus in favor of said war.

D. Shall the rulers of Portugal, Castile-Leon, England, France and Venice not be present three senators known as Grand Senators shall take their place ruling the day to day doings of the Senate. However the ruler's power of veto shall not be placed in the hands of these Grand Senators.

E. Shall another nation declare war upon the Minoan Confederation that said nation will find itself at war with all member nations.
1. A state of war will be declared by all confederation members united.
2. Each nation shall grant right of passage through each others land.
3. A full trade embargo shall be declared by all confederation members.

F. Shall a member nation decide that it is in the best interest for their nation to go to war they have that individual right, however in order for all member states to enter into said aggression the Senate must ratify the state of war with a three-fifth vote.


III. Symbols of the Confederation

The ancient Minoan mythological figure of the Minotaur shall be made the symbol for the Minoan Confederation. All member states will fly not only their national flag but also that of the Confederations above all ships, palaces, troops, etc.

A. The flag shall be placed upon a dark blue background to symbolize the Mediterranean sea.

B. In the center of this flag shall be a portrait of the Minotaur, in representation of the Confederation.

C. The first section of the Minotaur shall be the shield of Castile-Leon with the lions and castles symbolizing that nation.

D. The second section of the Minotaur shall be the winged lion of St. Mark symbolizing the Republic of Venice.

E. The third section of the Minotaur shall be the shield of the Kingdom of Portugal as is found upon their flag, and the national seal.

F. The fourth section of the Minotaur shall be the shield of the Kingdom of France as is found upon their flag, and the national seal.

G. The fifth section of the Minotaur shall be the shield of the Kingdom of England as found upon their flag, with the three lions outlined.

IV. Nature of Treaty

Should any portion of this treaty wish to be amended it shall be done within the confines of the Confederation's senate.

A. In order for an amendment to be added or something changed within the Confederations treaty a vote of four-fifths agreement must be reached by the Senate.

B. Debate will be encouraged within the senate hall; however outside the confines of this hall all members shall present a loyal and united front.

C. All rulers of said confederacy rulers shall be given the title of triumviri rei publicae constituendae in the style of the Roman Empire.

By the Grace and will of God shall this Minoan Confederation prosper and bring much to Portugal, Castile-Leon, England, France and Venice.

HUNGARY--VENICE LOAN AGREEMENT OF 1434

I: Hungary will loan to Venice 30,000 golden Florints worth of supplies, raw materials, equipment, skilled and unskilled labour, etc, plus 10,000 Florints in gold coin (ie. a total loan of 4 eco); for the purposes of building, repairing, upgrading, outfitting and supplying a fleet of war with which to combat the Infidel, or for any other purpose specifically related to the Crusade.

II: Venice guarantees to extend military protection to Hungary whilst the loan is outstanding. Specifically, Venice will enter a state of war against any nation choosing to attack Hungary or its vassals or provide sufficient reason and compensation for not doing so as to satisfy the King of Hungary.

III: Venice promises a future loan of at least 20,000 ducats (2 eco) on any one future occasion if ever required by the Kingdom of Hungary, provided such funds are available.

IV: Venice will sign the following TRADE and MILITARY ACCESS sub-agreements:

TRADE AGREEMENT OF 1434

V: The port town of Trogir in the province of Dalmatia will be ceded to the Crown of Hungary, to do with as she wishes.

VI:. Hungarian and Venetian traders are to be treated as equal in terms of tolls, tariffs, taxes, duties and so forth when trading within the Venetian provinces of Dalmatia and Istria and the Hungarian provinces of Krain and Pest.

VII: Base prices for goods traded between Hungary and Venice will be negotiated yearly and fixed for that year.

MILITARY ACCESS AGREEMENT OF 1434

VIII: Venice and Hungary do guarantee each other right of passage for their troops through each others territory during times of war, except in the case where one nation is at war with the other's allies and vice versa.

This treaty, signed in 1435, affirms a state of peace between the Russian EmpireDas Heer and the Golden Horde(chilliwilli). The treaty is as follows:

Article I: The Golden Horde releases Suzdal and Ryan from vassalage; The Golden Horde recognizes Russias right to annex or vassalize Suzdal and Ryzan should Russia be able to.

Artcile II: The Golden Horde cedes the provinces of Kazan, Ufa, Saratow, and Bogutjar to the Empire of Russia

Artcile III: The Golden Horde recognizes Russia as an independent state and not a rebellion from the Horde.

Artcile VI: The Golden Horde and Russia will sign a seven year non-aggression pact during which neither state can enter into war against each other.

Hungary-Genoa Arms Agreement
In the Year of our Lord 1435, in the month of October, the nations of Hungarycccino and Genoamolleby do hereby enter into this contract.

SECTION I:

i. Genoa shall provide, at cost, stocks of weapons and military equipment (of only the highest quality) including spears, polearms, swords, shields, pavises, siege machines, crossbows, cannon and so forth.
ii. Genoa shall provide personnel in the form of drill instructors and military strategists for the training of the King's army, and a division of mercenaries under Genoese pay to fight under the King's banner.
iii. Genoa shall provide personnel in the form of drill instructors and military strategists for the training of the Knights of the realm and Baronial armies.
iv. Genoa shall provide to Hungary in times of war no less than 10 Commands of 100 troops to professionally lead the divisions of the General Levy.

(NB. all this in the form of at least 1 eco to be applied to no more than one event per contract period)

SECTION II:

i. In return, Hungary shall provide a payment of 1% of annual volume of extracted iron, coal, copper, lead from the King's mines. However, it is Genoa's responsibility to organise and pay for transport etc.
ii. Guaranteed sales to Genoa of 35% of annual export of non-precious metals (including iron, coal, copper, lead) at prices negotiated six-monthly and fixed for the period.
iii. Guaranteed sales to Genoa of 10% of annual export of all other raw materials (including timber and salt) at prices negotiated six-monthly and fixed for the period.
iv. Guaranteed sales to Genoa of 5% of annual export of all other goods (including cattle, foodstuffs, wine, worked/crafted and luxury items) at prices negotiated six-monthly and fixed for the period.

SECTION III:

i. 5% off standard foreign-merchant import and export duties for Genoan merchants inside the borders of Hungary. Likewise for Hungarian merchants in Genoan-controlled markets.
ii. This is to be a 24 month contract, open to renewal or renegotiation at the end of September 1437.

Article X If a member nation is attacked by another nation then the other member nations must embargo said nation

Article XI If another nation would like to join the League then the three founding nations of Genoa, Russian and the Golden Horde must approve them

Article XII All governments pledge to uphold this agreement and to help regulate the trade routes so that goods can be sold and bought at a steady rate.

The Union of St. Andrew

I.
The union's members is equal in the Union.

II.
The members of the union is obligated to help the other nation(s) if the other is attacked by another country.

If the country of the union is the attacker, it will need the confirming of the council (see III) to attack a country.
If this confirming is not granted, the nations in the union is not obligated to help out the attacker nation.

III.
There will be a council, with representives from each country.

There will be votings for things that needs to be voted for (see this treaty).

If a new nation want to join the Union, it must be allowed by ALL members, if not, it can't be accepted.

Each country have one representive.

Each nation have one vote.

If the vote ends with a draw, nothing happens until there is an agreement.

The council has its seat in Bucuresti. It will only be moved if found neccasery.

IV.
Each of it's members can have trade agreements with countries outside of the Union. Boycotts between the member nations is not allowed. Neither any other kind of agression.

V.
If a nation decides to dishonour this union in war, it will give the other members a Casus Belli, or Reason of War, against the nation that dishonoured the Union for 9 months (three turns). If the nation had a good reason for not joining the alliance, it may be forgiven, and accepted back in the Union. This will be decided by the Council.

VI.
Royal Marriages are well wanted between the members, but is not enforced upon anyone.

When a nation joins the union, it must sign and agree this pact.
If a country ever breaks one of these terms, their faith will be decided by the council.

Aragon promises to not try to eliminate, forcefully convert or in other way harm the moslem minorities of our land.

The Bursa Treaty

1.
Genoa shall be the only Christian nation allowed to trade within the Ottoman Empire. Genoa shall provide the Ottoman markets with necessary goods at reasonable prices, and shall be able to buy Eastern goods at favourable rates.
For this privilege, Genoa shall pay 15% higher tariffs than normal.

2.
Ottoman merchants are welcomed at Genoese ports, where they will only pay half of the normal tariffs. In the Crimean ports, Ottoman merchants are allowed to practise their religion as they see fit. As guests of the Genoese, the governors of the Crimean ports shall do their utmost to protect the Ottoman merchants.

3.
The Ottomans commit themselves to secure safe passage for Genoese vessels through the Bosporus strait.

4.
Genoese merchants shall not practise their religion openly within the Ottoman realm. Genoese merchants are not allowed to advertise Christianity in any way, and should they do so, the Ottoman authorities will execute this individual immediately.

5.
The Ottomans are given access to interest free loans from the Bank of Genoa.

6.
To oversee that the articles of this agreement are obeyed, the Genoese, on their own expense, shall have a permanent representative at the Ottoman court, appointed by the Doge of Genoa and accepted by the government of the Ottomans.

The Lagos Concessions

In their glorious wisdom, the King of Portugal, his Majesty Reginald of Witau, and the Doge of Genoa, his grace Alessandro Doria, have decided to engage in a close trade co-operation. 1.

Ragusan Non-Aggression Pact of 1436 (March 16th)

Article I: The Pact concerns all nations who seek peace in the name of whatever Lord they choose. In this manner the Pact is unbound by religion and serves the belief in peace.

Article II: The pact serves as a template. Any nation who signs agrees to peace only with Ragua and no other nation that also signs. Any other agreements must be handled a separate document between said nations.

Article III: The document is a yearly reborn, meaning the pact ends after the passing of every 15th of March (Ides of March) at which time is ratified again.

Article IV: Any can join at anytime with agreement of the Duke. A separate signature of the Duke is required per nation to ensure Ragusan authority and control of this Pact.

Article V: No nation can be at war with Ragusa or make aggressive actions that risk good will of the Ragusan people and their betterment.

Article VI: This document stands above all others signed by here signed nations, for instance an ally of signed nation decided to attack Ragusa, her signed nation is bound by this document before all others.

Article VII: The document is permanent and unbreakable until the one year is up, which is the Ides of March of every year.

Article VIII: Ragusa agrees to all the previous articles and applies them to itself for the betterment of signed nations.

Article IX: No nation may sign without approval of Ragusa.

Agreement of Trade, and Loan Partnership of Rome (1436)

Article I ? The two parties involved are The Duchal Court of Dubrovnik representing Ragusa and the Royal Court of France.

Article II - Ragusan merchants will be considered equals when trading in the lands of France and vise versa. Neither side will pay any duties or extra costs in importing/exporting from said lands.

Article III ? Both sides will construct customs houses in each others lands, the places for these houses to be decided upon at a later time.

Article IV - Ragusa shall provide the French markets with necessary goods at reasonable prices, and shall be able to buy Eastern goods at favorable rates. France shall do the same if they have goods to trade. The tariffs on each others goods will always stay below 15% of the average tariff cost imposed on all other nations.

Article V- If a member nation is attacked by another nation then the other member nation is expected to support the other member in any way possible, such as loan, or embargo on attacking nation.

Article VI - The Kingdom of Ragusa and the Kingdom of France shall not wage war upon each other for a period of 3 years, and during this time place no form of aggression either militarily or political upon each other.

Oh we also need a couple of more spaces for treaties about three, but that will decrease after I delete some and start shifting to back posts.
