The Patirach stands quiet worried;
"These are indeed dark times. As to the man representing the Golden Horde, I desire not a war against the muslims, but a war to free the Orthodox nations. While the Catholics and the muslims are free to rule themselves, the majority of Orthodox nations are still tied to other rulers.
While I do not doubt your word that peoples of the Orthodox faith are treated farily in the muslim realms, I also hope that you will understand that I do not wish for the muslims to be mistreated either.
As to the man from the Ottoman Empire. My people did not look towards me to ease their pain but to give them support in their war. And I did it. I realize that the Suzdal has now become the target for aggresion, but that was decided by Novograd and Muscovy. I have taken pitty on the Kniaz of Suzdal and not issued the anthema against him that Novograd and Muscovy wanted.
I only wish for the freedom of all Orthodox peoples. But I do not want to see the muslim lands destroyed. It is unfortunate that this situation has boiled down into a war of this size, and I can only hope that peoples of all nations involved will escape with their lives.
As to the man from Pskov. I am extatic that the Golden Horde was generious enough to hand over those two provinces. But I fear that will cause more strife with Novograd. I pray for Pskov's saftey."
