When Dsaluu Jambyn Khan gained the title Great Khan of the Golden Horde one of his compedators was Bolor Khan but the Great Khans son won much thank to the support of his old mentor, Bars Khan. When Bolor Khan lost he almost started open rebellions however he was stoped by the war with lithuania and poland, the entire army of the horde was in his lands then and they were loyal to the newly elected Great Khan.

The Khan will not take any action directly against Bolor Khan but instead he will support Bars Khan. Dslauu Jambyn will go to his old Palace and try to persuade his family to come to Samarkand with him and give his old title to Bars Khan, when he is Great Khan he should be able to stop anything Bolor Khan attemts.

My views on the Russian conflict is that Moscow is a evil nation which should be utterly destroyed, they have left the Golden Hordes overlordship twice in less then a half decade. The khan would help all he could but he am unsure if he can since he took over a land which is in the middle of a war. Dsallu Jambyn shall look into the empires possition then make a stance, hopefully he will be able to join you on the field.

A letter arives from Genoa,

"Hmm, while you are not at war with Genoa you are at war with my ally Muscovy.

So I just wanted to inform you that I could not stop laughing when I heard of the debacle of the Sibir army.

You take the cake as far as incompetent leaders go.

Mayby you should not have threatned Muscovy so much. As I will back nothing but the harshest restrictions on you for bringing so much death to the region. And your support of the Timurids only serves to fuel my anger with you.

written by his own hand in Genoa,
Doge John II."

A Russian with the plague waddles into the court of Sibir coughs and dies in front of the Khan when a message is delivered.

khan,
I just wish to inform you of your mistake. That I had not killed my own father, I killed my BROTHER! My father is whom I honor dearly and whom I take after. My brother was an incompedent fool such as yourself. We shall never forget the decimation of your army because of you cannot coperate with your own allies adequetly. Maybe now you shall realise that the Mongolian that once was a fearless warrior clan, and whom struck fear in the hearts of many non-Mongols is now long dead. You are but a meager pawn or rather shadow of your ancestors and the Great Ghangis Khan...it is a different era now, your time has vanished.
Your awaiting executioner,
Grand Princess Alexandra of Moskva

A carriage with a now dead man strumbles into Sibir. All the people on the carriage, 17 in all, are dead bodies. They are all died of the plague. A note was nailed on the side.

Worm,
Look at what your people have done? They have cursed us! This will not go unforgiven so easily. Remember we crushed your armies, and we will do it again. Now, take the bodies your cursed and do as your wish. May your people suffer the same as we have!

2 horsement arrives in Tobolsk, speeding as fast as they can to the biggest of the yurts in the city. Entering it, Boka and Baraq Khan see their younger brother, Temuska, on a couch, covered with sheep shirt, to keep him warm. Is face is monstrous, he nearly doesn't look human anymore. But he is able to sit on hins shoudlers, to see his brother arrives. Coughing, but alive, think Baraq Khan.

Temuska... my brother... it is good tosee you again., We were hoping to see you alive as fast as we could, but you know, near Constantinople, it is full of Italians who thinks the world belongs to us. They are not even able to go thrue all our Empire, but the think themselves as powerful...

It is all right ( cough ) brother. I was waiting for you. I know I will die, you know, but before going and see my ancestors up there, I want you to describe me Constantinople as you saw it.. it would have been marvoulous. I would have liked a lot to be with you... tell me my brother, please

Temuska lay down on his back

Constantinople, my brother, is the most extraordinary thing I have ever saw. It is bigger than what you could ever imagine before, and with it's wall, it laugh to any army who is not Mongolian. Because we did it... I mean, Mongolia did it, by the hand of Great Khan Bars.

But Constantinople... oh... I would not have stay there all my life, I prefer hunting in Siberia. But a a common european, it is surely the best place to be. It is just sad to see that there will be no Patriarch in it for some times... as we executed him. The Ottoman oposed it, but who are the Ottomans to oppose Mongolians... bah, you know, maybe I will travel some days when you'll get better, Constantinople now beeing Mongolian. Will that interest you... Temuska... Temuska?!

By the time he was talking, Baraq Khan did not saw that him young brother had closed his eyes, forever

... He is dead, Baraq... he left to the arms of Gengis Khan...

That... that is impossible... he cannot die before me... he never did anything wrong! nd than, Plague strikes him with no mercy! What happened.... why did he not accompagned us in our raids?

Actually... I saw him ride after us, in Nizhgorod. That probably where he contracted the illness.

... What did you just said? Russians sent my brother that illness?! I swear to Allah, and Gengis Khan, that this will not be unpunished. Those Russians are demons from above earth, that brings us pestilence and only sadness

Baraq then turn to the body of dead Temuska

But for now, let's do great funerals for my warrior brother! Let it be known that Temuska is now dead, and that is spirit will survive thrue all Sibir, because we are warriors too, andare maid the best way human can be maid! Let make some funerals now, and never fear death again!

Baraq Khan is praying near of his dead brother, silently. Suddently, a Tatar enters the Yurt, and not wanting to disturb the Khan, place a small message near of him. After praying, Baraq reads it

The Princess of Muscovy has died of the plague 2 days ago, suffering a lot more than your brother. The Prince of Novgorad doesn't know it for now, but yet, the heir is in security.

Not so happy about the news the Khan talks to himself, not seeing that Boka is near of him.

First I lose my brother, second, I lose my enemy. Who will disappear after... that plague is a scourge... I just now hope that Genoa is not as infected as I would first like it to be. I just hope that this illness will never appear again... But for now, I just have to pray my ancestors to protect my brother...

A letter arrives, bearing the seal of the Great Khan Bars.

My brother,

I am honored that you would ask me to preside over the old death ritual. I shall leave my city in the care of Bolor Khan and the Sultan, and I will arrive as soon as it is possible. I will be with you before a fortnight is out.

Bars, Great Khan of the Golden Horde, Overlord of the Western Khans, Victor of Constantinople.

A battalion of cavalry arrives at the camp of the Khan of the Sibir. In the lead, is the Great Khan of the Golden Horde, Bars. As he and his men ride into the camp, the warriors of Sibir cheer, and salute the Victor of Constantinople. Bars wheels his horse about, and stops at the urt of Baraq Khan, who comes forth to greet his overlord.

"Greetings, my most loyal Khan. I was delayed by the damned Venetians, and I cannot tarry long. For battle calls me yet again, and I will win another victory before the season turns! Let us attend to your brother, who was robbed of the opportunity to meet his fate on the blade of a foe. A devastating loss to the Mongolian people."

The Great Khan and Baraq walk out onto the steppe, followed by Baraq's family, and then warriors of both Sibir and the Horde, serving as an honor guard. Before them lies the hollowed out trunk of a nanmu tree, in which lies the slightly decomposed body of a Mongol warrior. Temuska, who had been one of the fiercest warriors of a fierce people. As the cover is slid over the trunk, Bars Khan begins to speak.

"The Great Yasa of Chinghiz Khan teaches us that death is not a thing to be feared. Indeed, death is with us every minute of every day, just waiting to claim us. To the dead, death is a friend, come to take them away from the pains of life, and into the earth that birthed us all. Only to the living is death a tyrant. Baraq Khan has lost a brother, who learned to ride and shoot with him. I have lost a mighty warrior, whose blade and bow I will miss in the battles ahead. There are many of you out there who knew the Temuska, and who will miss his stories and songs around the warm fire. To you all, I say fear not. For we are born of the earth, and so do we return to it."

As the trunk-coffin is lowered into the earth, and several warriors begin to shovel the earth over it, Bars goes on. "In time, there will be no monument to remind us that Temuska died here. It is a Mongol's place to return to the earth, and to have the grass of the steppe he loved grow over him. However, to honor Temuska, we must never forget the stories of his deeds! Let us drink together, and sing songs of Temuska, so as to warn all the dead that the spirit of a great warrior comes to join them!"

At this, kumiss is brought out, and the Mongols drink, and remember Temuska. As the night goes on, the tales of his deeds grow greater and greater.

***********

In the morning, Bars Khan speaks with Baraq Khan, and then rides to the south, as fast as his horse will take him.

The next day, after the departure of Bars Khan, Baraq walks on his homeland, and recruit twenty of his best warriors, and tell them to take their horses, because the ceremony is not over, and because Mongolians trust mostly their ancestors then any God. The twenty one riders clash to the burried ground of Temuska, they than stop, and Baraq Khan say some words to the sky

Gengis Khan, our great ancestor, accept my brother Temuska the best that you can. He was all a Mongolian was supposed to be, a warrior, a good hunter and most of all, a fearless horserider! May you protect him on the other side of the world, where you sits with those we take as heroes, like your child, Ogodai, and Subotai, your friend! Accept Temuska the best you can, may he live in harmony with everything, and have a great place at your side!

After that speach, Baraq Khan shout, with his loud voice, a warrior scream, like those his ancestors were screaming when the destroyed the Khitais, the Persians, the Chinese, the Hungarians, the Russians, the Vietnamians, The Indians. Then he ride his horse, followed by his men, a mile long and a mile large, to be sure that no one will ever find his brother, who died of the plague, and for he, and his family, could pray for his spirit to be purified.

That is for you my brother, we will never stop to think of you, now you shall go to our Khans arms, like a victoruous warrior!

Some days after the burrying of his brother Temuska, Baraq walks in Tobolsk, with Boka. Altaugh it is a day of prayer, it seems that Altais are not at the Mosque, and some of the Mongolians aren't either. A little bit confused, Baraq Khan ask to him self what that means. Near the Yurt of Sugai, who is at Astrakan, he stops, seeing his family in the yurt, in an ancient traditionnal ceremony. He turns to Boka, who had followed him

Wh... What is that? Even Sugai family, who was very fanativ about religion, seems to have turned his back on Allah. I do not understand... It is not we do not trust in him that everybody has to do so...

Hum, brother... It seems that you do not understand something of your people here... after the death of Temuska, their taughts were that Allah turned his back on them, taking away one of the greatest warrior of Sibir. The maybe think that it is in defense of Rus' as in may be too. I am not a smart man, but what I can see is that the Mosque has been vandalized,,, look

Some feet from them, the Mosque of Tobolsk is almost destroyed ion one of his halk. The moon crescent is destroyed and some wall are coverted with animal blood. In an ancient Tartaric language, it is written on the wall: Genghis Khan would not have abandonned us. Allah did

I think I know what my people want me to do... but what will be the consequences... Other mongolians will probably understand, but the Turks won't, I am sure of it. But I can't risk a revolution because of religion. We are warriors and we fight enough like that...

Boka... Send the message to Sugai. The Khanate of Sibir has no other choice, because of a beggining of a revolution, that to leave the Alliance, and to change our State religion to Paganism...

Boke look suprised, but not shocked

It will be done as you wish, my brother

This is inded a time of great Religious turmoil, I am a personal friend of the very Caliph of the Sunni faith, i have became friend with many Shia Moslems and now i hear that peaople are turning back to the anchient faith.

I have not experienced this betrayal of Allah though, maybe this is destiny. Maybe Allah have left you so shall turn to Genghis, so you people will rally around Genghis and once again command a army of blood hungry horsemen. This just to drive the Christans back and save all moslems there is.

I will not take any actions against your revolution, as long as you continue to fight for the right cause.

For many years, out of the wilderness there came shaman of the old beliefs, bringing healing, fire and the word of the ancient gods to Siberia. They are listened to. The word of Islam slips into "Lip service".

After the death of Temuska, the Khan's brother, the majority of Siberians turn their backs on Allah, because they believe he has abandoned them by killing one of their best warrior. The old gods and their shaman preach a return to their ways. They peasants partially destroy Tobolsks principal Mosque, and some turn Pagan openly. Seeing this, Baraq Khan changes his state religion to paganism in a desperate attempt to keep the favour of his people. He is no more a Muslim, but will try to prevent any harm against Muslims from Siberia.

This triggers events.

1. Pagans are burnt on sight in a vicious backlash. The Khan is dethroned by revolt.( % provinces revolt. Rounded up. -1 Tech -1 Morale)

2. Pagans are chased and stoned the Khan is forgiven as grief must be effecting him(-1 Tech -1 Morale)

3. Tensions run high between the Pagans and the Faithful of Islam. .(-1 Morale)

4. The Faithful of Islam believe that this paganism has been part of their culture in this region for so long they can live with it. (No effect)

5. The Faithful of Islam believe that this paganism has been part of their culture in this region for so long they can live with it. Not only that but secret worshipers from other nations emigrate here. (+1 Morale)

6. The Faithful of Islam believe that this paganism has been part of their culture in this region for so long they can live with it. Not only that but embrace it, and secret worshipers from other nations emigrate here. (+1 Tech +1 Morale)

SIBERIA is now PAGAN.

A 5 is thrown

The Faithful of Islam in Siberia believe that this paganism has been part of their culture in this region for so long they can live with it. Not only that but secret worshipers from other nations emigrate here.

(+1 Morale to Siberia)

An Elci arrives at the door of Baraq Khan dressed in the colors of the Khazak and says he wishes to have an audience with the Khan. After the audience is granted and the Elci takes a politely low bow, he tells of the message from his leader, the magnificent Janibek Khan, to the great Baraq Khan of Siberia:

The honorable Khan of the Khazak, Janibek Khan, passes his greetings and wishes of peace and prosperity between Sibir and the Khazak. He wishes me to tell you that your Elci, Ogomei, will be accepted and treated like the honorable guest he is. In exchange for this he has sent me, Alagh, to you. Your offer of alliance tempts my Khan and he tells that he will be with you and the honorable realms of Timur, Nogai, and the Golden Horde through all stuggles. Thank you for your audience, great khan. My Khan Janibek will be expecting to hear from you shortly.

Baraq Khan notices something on the horizon. As the thing gets closer he notices the familiar face of his friend Janibek Khan of the Khazak Horde on a beautiful Arabian steed which he recieved from the Conclave of Devout Nations in Konya. Behind him are about a dozen of his most trusted guards. As they approach the palace the gates open and Janibek dismounts and enters the great hall of Baraq Khan.

" Honorable friend Baraq Khan, I received a message telling me to come to Toblosk. What is the urgent matter which I have come for? I am eager to help my Siberian friends in any way that I can."

Janibek takes a seat and awaits an answer from the Khan of Siber.

Baraq Khan and Janibek Khan sits in the yurt when a man suddenly enters, at first they doesnt recognize this young man but they soon realize that it is Dsaluu Jambyn, the mighty Great Khan of the Timurid empire down south.

The young man smiles a wide smile and speaks.

"Ahh my brothers, atlast i may meet you. And in a land which reminds me of my home."

The other Khans welcomes this new arrival to the group. Dsaluu Jambyn turns to Baraq Khan and speaks.

"Well the best way to make friends is a good hunting tour, are there any good forest here?"

Baraq Khan say that there is a forest with many bears nearby and they could hunt a few hours before night. When they return Baraq Khan had won the hunt by killing three Bears, the other two only killed two each, but they excuse themself saying that they didnt know the land as well as Baraq Khan did. When the night came they were all three greatr friends.
