Dear members of the Imperial Diet,

I think that everyone in here just witnessed what we have been observing for months..

Herr von Bern couldn´t care less of Bohemia´s hussites..a minute after the Bohemians offered to install a new catholic King, he just incites everyone with the possibilities of new conquests..

It is absolutely crystal clear that if we allow these warmongers to continue in their evil ways..the empire would crumble..and go to pieces..

What I would like to suggest to Herr von Bern is...keep your filthy hands to yourself, and do not try incite others into criminal behaviour!!

What I would like to suggest the Imperial electors are...elect a new emperor!!..that speaks for everyone, not just for some!!

Time has come my friends to cast off the yokes of the kidnappers and assasins, the expansionists and extorsionists..

Time has come to choose a path of peace and prosperity, not just for some..but for everyone!!

Time has come for the Wittelsbachers and the Habsburgers to pay their debt to the Empire!!

The Empire must be restored!..Albert von Habsburg has been found guilty of crimes so awful that I don´t even want to speak about them..

Time has come, my friends, to choose a new emperor..and to brake the power of the Wittelsbachers and the Habsburgers..after all..it is the Holy Roman Empire of German Nation...not Bavarian or Austrian nation..

I give you my word, that Livonia will not lay down arms, before we have absolute guarantees, that we are going to elect a new...and fair emperor...until then..the war goes on..

I also give you my word, that Livonia does not seek to enlarge it´s territory in this war..We regard this a liberation war from opression and terror, from lawlessness and fear..We regard this a defensive war, we only set out to defend what´s ours..Bohemia is a Kingdom..and they will elect their own Kings..we will not accept any Habsburger or Wittelsbacher marionetts on the Bohemian throne..we will not accept any Habsburgers or Wittelsbachers on the Holy Roman throne..We demand a restored and fair Empire!!..

"You sir should not even be given a place in the Imperial Diet of the Holy Roman Empire, which you seek to destroy. It was this bodies folly to not deal with you when you before now. You say you want nothing from this, bah this is comming from who's Duke called himself The King of the Germans. From this standpoint it seems that this "King" is comming to reclaim his lands. The one thing he forgot is that he will loose, and when he does you too will be on the wrong side of justice and truth. I say you should not even have a voice in this diet, and do not dare tell me what i can and cannot do. Too long i have been a man of peace, but Bavaria and the Empire are in threat, and i will not I REFUSE TO LAY DOWN. LONG LIVE THE EMPEROR AND THE EMPIRE. God will surley grant us a victory as he has done over the Hussites in Bohemia which we control all provinces of now."

Paul rises angrily and adresses the Bavarian once more..

Nonsense !! ..Coming from a man that represents a country with the lowest form of social decadence, the nation that had to resort to assasinations !! We have not forgotten..and I dare say..all other nations has not forgotten, that it was the Wittelsbachers who assasinated our Head of State, the legendary Mikael von Sternburg!!

God the almighty are our witness, that we shall not lay down arms before these criminals are brought before justice !!

Victor rubs his hand through his hair as his brother grins at him.
Why's he always have to be right.
He then rises.

Gentlemen, let us handle this like gentlemen, or at least as close as any of us can under the circumstances. Herr Steward, I propose that three things take place:
One, all ambasadors from nations that have declared war on the Empire or any of its members be confined to their quarters so that we may conduct ourselves like the nobles that we are.
Two, we refrain from bringing any more personal conflicts into these halls for the duration of these troubles. No more family claims, no more talk of Hussites in one's relms and so on.
Third... I hesitate to say this... the third is that we begin to seriousaly discuss removing the Emperor from his office. There was a case before to support it - his possible problems, the Empire's honor, the possible execution - but now it seems more important then ever that we have an Emperor to lead us and to hold us together. The new elections would be held in Frankfurt, a city far enough away from this conflict to be safe, and... well, the Emperor would be proud that we are doing what is best for the Empire. I believe that, if he is even half the man we know him to be, he would be proud that he has instilled at least enough pride in our Empire to do things we would rather not do for it.

Lord Georg rises to his feet.

"My Lord Steward as you are the voice of the Emperor in his absence I ask that you formally declare three things to be true.

Firstly the nation of Bohemia is no more, she has been annexed by the Emperor.

Secondly the delegates from Imperial nations at war with the Empire be declared traitors and banned from this chamber.

Thirdly that we as the heirs of Charlemagne do not give up on our Emperor. He has been accused of many crimes but still conducts his defence. Until he has been formally been removed from office we should honour his wishes and uphold his honour.

Finally my Lord Steward the armies of Austria are given to the Steward to lead to battle. Austria is appalled that the home of the Steward has been defiled in such a way.

Glory to the Empire, Glory to the Emperor, Glory to right hand of the Emperor."

Lord Georg...are you the emperor?..If not I suggest you refrain from making judgements on your own..You are not a member of the diet..and your master have been found guilty of many crime..he isn´t considered emperor by some of his own alliance members anymore..

I would be weary if I were an imperial fief. What if religious turmoil were to plague your lands? What is to prevent the Austrians from annexing you outright?,

This simply shows that we are justified.

You were all decieved into believing this was a war of Religous piety, of restoring Catholicism to a Kingdom,..

We said this was a war of aggression, a war of expansion,,

Which side has proven correct???? A member nation of your empire no longer exsists."

Zakrzycki reads the letter, his face turns pale and than red from anger.

"Didn't I told you that!!! You could only benefit from the TRUCE with Bohemia, now armies of the Empire are demoralised and routed. Only fools and madmen send their soliders to fight in Winter.

The loss of the Berlin is the fault of those who seek war not peace. Therefore I call YOU a TRAITOR as the one who seek destruction of the Holy Roman Empire through fire and sword. I say that your act was an act of treaston, and i would like to see your entire court brought up upon these charges."

Joachim pauses for a moment.

HOWEVER, I will ask one more time. Think about peace and Pommern mediation, maybe it still not too late. Noble delegates, do not let your countries to fell into hands of madmen.

Pommern is neutral country and we invite all of you to peace conference in Stettin."

He bows before the whole assembly.

"Josef Zakrzycki herbu Wczele, chief diplomat of Pommern. - he is among those who stayed loyal to Klenau-Kaminski family. He is small, obese and always ruddy on the face. He he has this special virtue that allow him to divide politicks from real life. He is probably one of the greatest beer gourmet in the whole Empire. However his appearance may be misleading, that fella knows a lot about diplomacy. He is a germanized Pole who lives in Pommerania since he was born. (OCC: this is Zakrzycki's description from my court.)

So it seems that you get rid of the rust from your sword and you brought him here? How long have you been thinking about this ridiculous idea. You say A DUEL? I turned 53 a month ago, little people live that long. As far as I know you are like 40... And you want to draw your sword? I doubt you will be able to carry him... becouse I must say it is way too heavy for me."

Josef laughts and has a good fun.

He smiles.

And yes, I accept your silly duel. As far as I know I have a right to choose a weapon. Than I shall choose BEER. Let's do a beer contest and see who will win. If you do not accept my weapon than..."

He kneels and bows before von Bern, he lowers his arms and skirt.

"...You can have my head right now. If you are able do draw, hold and rise your sword of course.

He giggles.

 

[LUDWIG]

Lord Georg rises to his feet holding an ornate treaty.

"My Lords I have here a treaty signed y the Emperor in which he states the lands of Bohamia will be divided and granted to those who gave their loves in the just cause.

Brandenberg is to recieve the 2 most eastern provinces, Bavaria the western 2 provinces with Austria holding only the Capital Prague.
HEssen by virtue of her brave cations is not forgotten and the Emperor decrees that Hessen will be granted 2 tonnes of gold and will be granted membership of a new Knightly Order.

This new Order will be the Order of Charlemagne and it is dedicated to the presevration of the Empire.

The Dukes of Hessen, Brandenburg and Bavaria have done great service to the Empire and are named as Founder Knights of this Knightly Order.

Gentlemen I salute your courage, your loyalty and your skill in battle."

"I am 60 years old and you choose a beard come lets go out to the courtyard now i will not defile the Diet by spilling your blood here even though you and your country are as worthless as the whole northern alliance put together."

The door the the diet swings open, and Elisabeth of Luxembourg-Hungary enters in full battle dress.
"Noble delegates of the imperial diet!
I have come here before you after the battle of Silesia with the rest of my troops. I am withdrawing them from this war, for they have no weapons worth of their name and their morale is low due to the recent events in hungary. Also, only a fraction of the army remains, as we lost 5,000 of our best men fighten the heathens in bohemia."
Her face turns angry.
"I am glad that we have won this war. But this peace is unacceptable to me and my men. It is all well and good that our allies receive their share, but I ask you this:
Did not Luxembourg support the Empire too?
Was it not me and my soldiers who engaged the bohemian army alone?
Were it not the brave sons of Luxembourg, who gave their lives for the cause?
If you can answer these questions, and still say that Luxembourg does not have the right to get their share, then I am ashamed to be of the empire, then I have to be ashamed to call myself a servant of it.
I do not want to lower the achievments that other nations have made. Neither do I want to make demands that are not justified.
I leave the matter for you to decide."
She steps back.

Josef stands up. He laughts.

"I will not speak with imbecile nor give my blood my blood to him. You are PATHETIC von Bern.

Than he turns to the assembly.

"You see now, how "NOBLE" are Bavarians.

As to this treaty I will comment it now.

Noble Delegates,

YOUR COUNTRIES WERE EXPLOITED IN THIS WAR. AUSTRIA, BAVARIA AND BRANDERBURG SHOW THEIR TRUE FACES RIGHT NOW. THEY PARTITIONED BOHEMIA. THEY DID NOT WANTED TO REINSTAL THERE NEW KING.

FROM THE BEGINNING THEY SIMPLY WANTED TO GRAB MORE AND MORE LAND AND MONIES. DUKE WASA WAS RIGHT. I AM PROUD THAT JOACHIM OF THE GREIF GEVE THE NORTHERN ALLIANCE RIGHT OF PASSAGE THROUGHT POMMERN LANDS."

von Spangler addresses the Luxembourgian duchess, and then Lord Georg:

With all due respect to our friends in Luxembourg, the Empire did assist in your Hungarian problem, and perhaps your battles with Bohemia are seen as payment in the eyes of the Emperor.

Lord Georg, I accept this treaty on behalf of Hessen. May the descendants of Charlemagne always be victorious, and may law and order protect our Empire from heathens and heretics.

I only wish that this could be the end of the bloodshed, but it seems the North is ruled by serpents, who lay low and strike when they see weakness.

Spangler glances at Josef, wondering how a dead man can be so loud.
