The Teutonic Ambassador walks forward, and addresses the diet.
We thank for your gracious support, it is with great appreciation we see your actions against the heretical province of Bavaria.
However the votes must go on concerning intervention in Poland. So far 3 are for intervention.
None are against.

And to reply to the words of the polish I tell you something you all know.
Is there only one man in the world that can send an assassin? NO.
Poland is still a strong suspect. Either he sent an assassin or he knew of assassins being sent.

The ambassador sits down

The Bavarian ambassador rises to adress the diet to an unwelcoming reception.

"I the Bavarian ambassador am the object of all your hate at the moment, and I and my country is very sorry for its disgraceful actions of the last few days.

The Ducal Court of Bavaria would like to apologise to the Teutonic Order and would like to pledge that we are no longer you enemies, and would much rather be friends, combined to rid the world of traitorous scum like the Polish.

If the Ducal Court of Bavaria had known of Poland's bribing and backstabing ways they never would have even entertained the thought of an alliance with them. The Duke of Bavaria only sent the assasin at the request of the Polish, who had promised him protection from the repercussions. It seems that the Polish had attempted many times to assasinate the Teutonic Order, and because they were coming under suspision of being the want to be assasinators decided to beg Bavaria for help, with promises of a handsome reward for success. The Duke of Bavaria really had nothing against the Teutonic Order, which is proven by the fact that it was the only country in that former alliance between Sweden, Poland and Bavaria to not be at war with the Teutonic Order. Who is more likely to want to assasinate a head of state, a country that is at war, or a country that is at peace? I ask you that my good gentlemen. The Polish are cowards who do not deserve the time of day.

These backstabbing scum satan on earth low life creatures have no place in your presence. Beware of them for they will come back to haunt you and to go behind your back to attempt to bring about your downfall.

To hell with the demonish Poles, and may God never have mercy on their souls"

With that the Bavarian Ambassador went out and hung himself

The Polish Holy man stands and speaks:

"You continually say that we have sent this assaissan, yet yuo have no proof, no evidence? How can you expect people to beleive yuo and yuor point of view if yuo give them no proof of your words and of what they mean? If we all went along that way I could stand here and say that your grandmaster had sent 30 assaissans against my King withuot any evidence at all. Make sure that you have proof before you accuse people recklessly.
To the rest of you I say this. The Teutons attacked while we were still allied with them, while we were even fightnig together. They betrayed us, and like a knife in our back they came at us from behind to sink their hell's blade into our unprotected rear. If you support this sort of action, then vote for intervention. But the whole world will look down on you if you do."

Proof ? Why is proof needed in this case you have clearly been against the Teutonic Order and spoken of war with us. And when we where gaining support in the Empire, you sent an assasin.
The Bavarians, say that they did so by orders by you.
Maby this is a way to slipp away, maby.
But thing is. You and Bavaria where the truest of allies.
he sent you economical support, when no other did

Proof, yes proof. Cease your falseless allegations unless you have hard facts and evidence to show us.
Unlike yuo we have proof of your crimes. We have your old Grandmaster's signature on the Eastern Alliance which he later betrayed by atacking us. We have proof that you were consorting with heathens by showing that while you were negotiating with us, the peace went slowly, but once you had betrayed us, you fought against us with the Golden Horde, the most evil of all nations.
We are both claiming our two sides in this argument, but when one side has proof, and the other does not, it is clear who is telling the truth.

The Teutonic Ambassador enters and hands over an letter
The Ambassador of the nation of Poland should hold his tongue.

If the kingdom of God Almighty was allied with the Papal States, and the Papal States acted as you did, the retribution would come swift, and without a break of alliance.
Your actions shall be repaid with blood.

And as for your claim that we are working along with the Heathens, that is totally untrue and an assault on a Nation, assault on a Bishop and an assault on the Holy Mother Church, the peace treaty went slowly but we where getting somewhere, all of this was destroyed by you.
I do not feel so much, in favour, of the heretics of the Golden Horde, but apparently they know the difference between moral and immorally. The Golden Horde has sent no assassin to our nation, while your closest friend and ally (former) did.

You are a worldly ruler, with little contact with God Almighty, my brother Michael was Bishop. Even if we would drop the assassination charge you have done many evils.

As the Prussian delegate spoke of. We see no reason to do peace with such an ungodly king as the one you do have until we have it secured that no ploting will occur in the future.

Signed

Why do yuo think we offered you a ten year non-aggression pact? We need the exact same thing. You have betrayed us to the muslims, the worst of sins.

The Polish ambassador stands, obviuosly barely holding in his laughter

"That peace is absoloutely laughable.
You have done nothing to deserve that. You have betrayed an ally and now you say that you seak protection from us? You seek no protection, all you seek is gains from an unjust war. This is absoloutely ridiculous."

The holy man can no longer conatin his laughter as he sits down.

The Teutonic Ambassador rises up.
We refuse to be ridiculed by a commoner..
Our demands are reasonable. Indeed reasonable.
We will not go on and on telling the evil of what poland have done. We have told it once, so all should have listened and make up their mind.
The Polish ambassador have made a dark athmosphere here in the imperial diet, which hopefully can be removed by soap.
Untill this is done, we will sit over here.

The Gelre Ambassador, Jan van Wassenaer, rises and say:

"The Constable of Holland, Gerard ten Berg is anxious to come before this Diet and tell his tale, er,
I mean story. I beg You Sire, let him for Gods, and the dutchmens sake speak"

The Emperor whispers to some advisor and says:

Leopoldo rises and speaks to the delegates from the Low Countries.

"All I have heard from either of you is your ambitious conquest plans against your christian brethren. You have sent no ambassadors or diplomats to the Burgundian courts to try to resolve your differences peacefully, instead you ally yourselves with Brabant, who broke the sacred oaths of vassalship. I have watched as you make your claims on Bavaria and seek any way to extend your land into christian holdings. Know this, any attack on Burgundy is an attack on the Empire and Genoa shall defend the Empire and her Emperor to the last man. Genoa can muster up an army larger than that of both of your duchies, so beware when you make your threats against Christian lords."

Jan van Wassenaer adresses the delegats of the Diet and particular the ambassador of Genua:

Rubens1.jpg

"Who has said anything about conquest or attacks, I ask you delegats, who?.

Isn´t it the Duke Philippe who attacks innocent women, men and children, right at this very moment in innocent little sleeping villages and towns in Holland.

Isn´t it the Duke Philippe, called le Bon, who has conquered, unlawfully the County of Holland.

Isn´t it the Duke of Burgundy, Philippe le Bon, who lays unjust claims.
The Duke of Gelre, Willem van Egmond is the rightful heir of Holland.

I beg You again, mighty Emperor, to let the Constable of Holland come forward and adress You Sire.

After that, my Gentle Men, we can all make our judgements about this cause.

I can assure You, that Gelre is not looking for war, it´s looking for peace and prosperity once again, for Holland, for the lowcountries and my Emperor, for the Empire itself."

Leopoldo rises again.

"All I have heard from your lands is about messages back and forth about making ready to conquer Holland and Zeeland. I do not trust this constable. Let us send a delegation into Holland and Zeeland to prove my point. I want solid evidence, not conjured lies. If Holland and Zeeland are in the conditions as you have suggested, then we will persuade Duke Philippe to lighten up, we will not hand over the land to you, who allow heathens to walk your streets."

Ludwig of Bavaria, angrily answers Genoesse ambassador:

Let's see who is talking about heathens, weren't your country the one which tried to assasinate Jean Luke, as I've said before the heathens were carrying us the bodies of the Bavarian Catholic people that died there some months ago, something that your country haven't done and we did having our lifes in danger. I will glad of hearinf genoesse complaints about this, and if he doesn't complaint I'll ask the emperor to ask him to complaint about his words

Leopoldo rises, anger filling his voice.

"Yes, there was a conspiracy in Genoa, where a bunch of power-hungry merchants attempted to assassinate Jean-Luke. They can now have the trading rights they desire in Hell. The only heathens allowed in the territories of Genoa are in Syria or Genoa's Black Sea possessions. Genoa fights heathnes for the good of Christendom, while you threaten the brethren of Genoa. Genoa fights for the glory of God, while you fight for the glory of your own wicked selves. Silence your foolish mouths for you know not what comes out of them. Picking a fight with two countries far larger than your own is foolishness.

Emperor, please, let us send in a delegation to investigate the situation, before these infidels destroy themselves and desecrate the Church any more."

Albert nods at the Genoese suggestion.
"Yes my friends I believe an Imperial delegation shoul dinvestigat this issue. While Bavaria has conducted herself shamefully, she is yet to suffer for this crime but she will and harshly too, we must ensure we root out the entire nest of vipers rather then allow them room to regroup."

Turning to the Polish delegate.
"I believe now would be a good time for you to withdraw to Polish lands, we shall inform your liege of the results of the Imperial vote. Hostilities cannot be ruled out and I gave assurances for your safety. Therefore I urge you to withdraw before the situation gets any worse. You shall be delivered safely to the Polish border and handed over to Polish troops. Whatever we may feel about Poland's conduct we shall not lower ourselves by acting dishonourably, the Empire will uphold her oaths."

Turning to face the room once more.
" The Imperial Officers shall ponder the evidence given. If there are no further comments to be made we shall hear the evidence of the Sheriff of Holland. I would also like to inform you all that in memory of the departed Grandmaster the Empire will observe a month of mourning, we shall each remember the Grandmaster in our own way and pray for his soul daily. When this meeting concludes the Archbishop of Tyrol wishes to lead us all in prayer in the chapel.
A sword shall be placed on the alter, a helmet also and a bible.
This is to symbolise the fearless courage of the Grandmaster, his powerful faith in God and his peerless skill in battle.
He fell not in battle but to an assassin, in a way it honours the man as his foes could not defeat him on the battlefield they claimed him another way. They Teutons should feel a tinge of pride at that for if that is the only way to stop a Teuton then the forces of Evil should prepare themselves for a defeat of legendary proportions."

Turning to the guards.
"Send in the good Sheriff and we shall hear his testimony."
