OK, how 'bout Greenland? No? Then Cologne, maybe?
By the way, Ireland is listed as under an NPC.
Thanks

That Ireland is listed as NPC is a mistake. I'll alert our Nat.Stats moderator to it. Greenland is not independent, and will most likely never be.
Cologne is currently NPC, and is a fine choice as a starting position.

Mettermrck what your new
realm is and what name you have chosen for it's
head of state. Now you're ready to post your stupendous court thread!
Please choose between your new role in the Medieval RPG and any role you may have in the 1515 game and adopt that role’s
avatar. Either way, please include a mention of your new role in the Medieval RPG in your
signature.
We ask that you do not use
instant messaging programs like MSN, ICQ and AIM to discuss deals and alliances for the purposes of the game. Doing so generally leads to animosity, mistrust and a lowering of role-playing standards. Unless an
RPG Steward is trying to contact you in order to help you understand the game better, it would be better for all concerned if you politely avoid talking about your role in the RPG with other, active players. The forum’s message-posting and private messaging (PM) systems should be all you’ll ever need to play the game.

. Oh well, I would like to apply for Poland or Denmark.
Granted. Poland is yours for the taking.

Perhaps I could take Aquitaine?
Now that Aquitaine is NPC, it could be yours.
Keep in mind SaT's vassalage warning, though.
