Tatars build new fleet
The Genoans have helped the Tatars build new ships with the most modern equipment, and now the Horde has a fleet on an equal footing with western realms. Soon the ports of Azov and Crymea are bustling with fine ships of the Italian design, but flying the proud flags of the Golden Horde. The entire Black Sea quakes as this new fleet is put into effect. But the waterways are cruel and often the finest galleys touch the bottom of the seas with no human to blame but rather an unexpected storm.
1. The ships are fine pieces of war and the horde’s fleet is feared throughout the region (
+1 morale for 1 year, +1 current Sea Mil +1 starting Sea Mil for 5 years to the Golden Horde).
2. The war galleys enlarge the fleet of the Horde (
+1 current Sea Mil +1 starting Sea Mil for 5 years to the Golden Horde).
3. The war galleys are modern, but they are too few to make a difference (no effect).
4. The war galleys are modern, but they are too few to make a difference (no effect).
5. The war galleys are modern, but they are too few to make a difference (no effect).
6. The war ships are sunk by an unexpected storm during their maiden voyage (
-1 morale for 6 months(2 turns) to Golden Horde).
Roll:
4. The war galleys are modern, but they are too few to make a difference. Fine boats of war have the Italians constructed on the waters of Azov Sea, but to the fleet of the Golden Horde, it provides a new flag-ship and a few more. Overall, funds dedicated to the project were lacking and the naval arm of the Horde remains as before (no effect).

Mass for Kazimierz of Pommerns soul
As the duke of Bremen is on state visit in Aragon, duchess Maria-Elisa of the Greif has control over the duchys coffers, and she is not afraid to use this authority.
As news of the death of her father, duke Kazimierz V of the Greif of Pommern, reaches her, fear for his immortal soul strikes her. Acting in union with archbishop Erasmus of Bremen, she orders impressive masses held throughout the duchy, and a decree is issued, that the next four sundays, every citizen in Bremen and all lands under Bremens control will pray for Kazimierz soul.
To further guarentee the dukes place in Heaven, land confiscated from Danish nobles in Skåne and some taxation and fishing rights are given to the church.
May God have mercy on duke Kazimierz V of the Greif of Pommern.

1-2. The mass is stunning and people still talk about it months later (
+1 morale for 6 months(2 turns) to Bremen).
3-4. The mass went well (no effect).
5-6. During the mass, ill omens are seen by many worshippers! (
-1 morale for 6 months(2 turns) to Bremen).
Roll:
6. During the mass, ill omens are seen by many worshippers! A few in the Cathedral swear that a black crow has perched itself on the highest tower of the building and started screaming at the end of the ceremony. Surely ill tiding are afoot and people of Bremen live in fear of divine maltreatment for some time (

Archbishop’s lavatory
The archbishop of Cologne is a pampered ruler. In his quest for purity of body and soul he has decided to construct a unique latrine based on ones, he saw long time ago during his pilgrimage to Rome. It is said that Roman Emperors used such devices, with marble and running water of all things! And now he has ordered one built for him. But how will the rest of Cologne react to such an unprecedented act?
1. The lavatory is emulated by rich families of Cologne and hygiene slightly improves (
+1 morale for 6 months (2 Turns) to Cologne).
2. The lavatory becomes an article of rumour (no effect).
3. The lavatory becomes a curiosity (no effect).
4. The lavatory becomes a popular folk-tale (no effect).
5. The lavatory is ridiculed by the citizens and the Archbishop with it (
-1 morale for 6 months(2 turns) to Cologne).
6. “While the Archbishop’s arse is cooled on marble, street urchins are dying of hunger and cold!” rail citizens and a few churchmen (
-1 morale for 1 year to Cologne).
Roll:
6. “While the Archbishop’s arse is cooled on marble, street urchins are dying of hunger and cold!” rail citizens and a few churchmen. And Cologne is to be a religious principality, while her head is emulating the pagan practices of Roman emperors? Surely secular power has diluted the zeal of the Archbishop and he is becoming more an Imperial prince and less a man of the Church. (
-1 morale for 1 year to Cologne).
