hello ! yes i quite understand your predicament

i'll save you some time . i'm also registered under a different name because i wanted to maintain a new AAR without having to change my avatar. Furthermore i wanted to hopefully impress my sense of dedication towards those running this by the name i chose etc because i would really enjoy having The Knights spot . Actually a friend of mine showed me this thread and i became interested , but since he told me i would have to change my avatar i decided to make a dedicated name towards this . If that is a problem i will promptly rectify it , please don't perceive this as any hostile or malicious action .

Ok, I'm going on a vacation today (wednesday) and comes home tomorrow (Thursday), but leave again for another holiday on Friday, and I'll be back on sunday.

Just to say that I'll be a little less active the next days, but no reason to close my court or anything. Just to let you know, so that no one DoW's me (Then they'll have to RP fast;)) or something when I can't control my country:)

Ah, I understand. King James XIV by any chance? :)

The Knights of St. John are an excellent place to start. Just take good care of them, they were my last role! ;) There are a couple of good links to Knights Hospitaller websites in the 'Recommended Links' third post in the RULES and Religious Powers thread. :)

Please once again visit the National Statistics thread and make a post informing our resident Nat Stats man BzAli what your new realm is and also what name you have chosen for it's head of state. Now you're ready to post your stupendous court thread!

We advise that you do not use instant messaging programs like MSN, ICQ and AIM to discuss deals and alliances for the purposes of the game. Doing so generally leads to animosity, mistrust and a lowering of role-playing standards. Unless an RPG Steward is trying to contact you in order to help you understand the game better, it would be better for all concerned if you politely avoid talking about your role in the RPG with other, active players. The forum’s message-posting and private messaging (PM) systems should be all you’ll ever need to play the game.

Welcome aboard,

Josef :)

John,

Before we go on, please do not post inscriptions or general questions in the National Statistics thread. Only post in there if you need to tell BzAli about things that relate to the stats, or with Auspend about the treaties. Otherwise, play it safe and post it in the off-topic thread unless it's a direct question about the game, which should go in here.

Apologies for my earlier post, it gave the wrong answer.

Bourbonnais is a vassal of France and would need to be roleplayed as such. This means France gains half of Bourbonnais' econ points, automatically gains right-of-passage through Bourbonnais and can expect all forms of homage from Bourbonnais, militarily and diplomatically, from a roleplay point of view.

I suggest that you pick another role if you would find this a tough pill to swallow. We do allow the players of vassals to sever vassalage ties, but at the cost of immense penalties.

With that in mind, do you still want to pick Bourbonnais?

Sorry you guys might have already covered this in the past.

How is RoP events done, in the sence how often can a RoP event be asked from Ladislav, since I already have asked for one and denied. I dont want to bug him, but is it an every turn thing? All based on dice im guessing? Any extra info you can give me would help.

You could try bribing him (or rather, the target country), by stating in the PM to Lad how many eco you wish to invest.

In general, allthough Lad is free to correct me, each RoP is not as much rolled as determined, based on such factors as the relations between the nations in question. For instance, I had no problems getting RoP through Mecklemburg when it was NPC, stating their membership of the Hansa as reason why they should be friendly to me. Other positive modifiers include family relations, cultural or religious similarities (especially if you're fighting some sort of common enemy) and the nations history (mainly if it was played recently).

If you had RoP denied, you better either offer money, or find some compelling reason why the target monarch should suddenly change his mind.

I love this game guys, but the free time I was hoping for just hasn't materialized. I have other commitments and just cannot find the time to take on such a major role.

I am sorry, but I must resign from my position in the game.

I'm going to look over the situation in this game and in 1515 and see if I cant find a smaller position more in-line with what I can handle.

Hi,
What are the rules on moving capitals? My guess is RP+event. Considering mine is only "temporary", it should be doable, right?

Yep, RP and event. As allways, when trying to do things that falls outside the rules, Lad is the way to go.

When Brittanys capital was moved, it resulted in -1 tech for some time (1 or 2 years), so it's not without costs.

Bourbonnais!!!

Yes and to prove it I have already began my court. I have thought this out very well and as I have noticed all the minor states or most of them are vassils so I have to start somewhere.

This is a very poor start for someone who still has to win my trust, jonnyrocks!

DO NOT post court threads on the forum before being given the all clear to do so. Make sure they are worth posting as well, the thread you posted was nothing like a decent court thread. Check the other players' threads to get an idea what they should look like.

You're in no position to be making assumptions - you're already on probation. Here's the inscription drill you should have waited for. Kindly pay close attention:

Please once again visit the National Statistics thread and make a post informing our resident Nat Stats man BzAli what your new realm is and also what name you have chosen for it's head of state. NOW you're ready to post your court thread!

Please also adopt the avatar of Bourbonnais.
