The Grand Commander approaches the Grand Chancellor of The Knights of Rhodes anxiously arriving with reports of possible consequences of the now borrowed Cypriot ducats.

My Lord Grand Chancellor, It seems that our loan from the Kingdom of Cyprus might bring us to hyperinflation. The Value of our money may go down!

The Grand Chancellor thought it over carefully and with great finesse offered his solution.

We went with Keep the money but take measures in "Rhodesian inflation warning"

The Grand Chancellor muddled over the plans:

"First we cannot return the money for we need it for the navy to defend Cyprus. It is imperative. Thus my first order would be to convert all our economic prerogatives borrowed and intrinsic to Ships of the Cross of St. John before any inflation rises.

Second we will open all private stockpiles and new goods that just arrived from oversea trading. We'll flood the market with as many goods as are in our stockpiles.

Third, all pirate novelties confiscated will be open to purchase from the public further expanding our production market

Fourth and importantly we'll encourage a wartime economy and show that Artisans of the Sword, Shot, and Ship will have lucrative futures by producing more war goods thus further increasing our market

Fifth i'm raising interest rates to 50% effectively shutting down creditors and other persons that would otherwise feed more liquid assets to the market

Sixth i'm ordering the temporary halt of the printing of any more of our money until the crisis is abated

Seventh i'm going to halt oversea exports and flood our own market with excess amounts of our own products under a wartime scheme until the economic crisis is abated. This does not mean that we will deny imports as that will further increase our market size.

Lastly i shall submit a public report to the general population that the war will NOT affect the abundance of food or supplies especially with excess food aid from the Eastern Roman Empire"

Let us hope that these steps will suppress any economic trouble while our navies shall ride to victory against the enemy!

Knightlife,

Please check the Rules thread for details on how to make expenditures during wartime. (They go to KW with your battle orders, not in here, to cut a long story short). Please also avoid using dark blue text if you can, which is very hard to read against the similarly coloured forum background. :)

A messanger arrives from the Al-Agta Khanate, he bows before the Imam and then begin to speak.

Noble Imam, Agha Bugu fears that the greatest of all the hoarbours in the Al-Agta Khanate, Hormuz, will be attacked by pirates soon. Sadly the Al-Agta Khanate does not have a large fleet and will therefore not be able to fight that fleet. Therefore we offer you this agreement. The oman send their fleet to defend the harbour of Hormuz and in exchange the Agha Bugu will lend thee 2000 golden dinars (ooc: two eco)

without roleplay:
Timurid empire lend 2 eco to Nils
Oman send his fleet to the waters outside Hormuz

Nils should confirm

In the CG when you put a small army in a enemy province with a large fort, then the troops will just stand there and loot the province.

Can you do that, put a soldier in a enemy province without attacking the defences in this game to?

Thos one is especially for Knightlife, allthough others might read and learn as well.

I appreciate roleplay as much as the next guy, but this is a working thread. Roleplay to your hearts delight in the courts and rumours, but only post the basics in here. Cut the flattery and negotiations, and only port the treaty, loan or DoW.
Please, let Lad be the only to post flavour text in here.

Thank you :)

No. Combat is automatic.
If you want to loot your enemy, PM Lad and request an event.

Although if the garrison stands after you've attacked it that first time, you'll need to resend your orders the turn after in order to continue the seige. Otherwise, your troops are considered to have stood down for that second turn. The reason I brought this in is so that the Battle Mod doesn't have to remember orders from previous turns.

But as Bz says, if your army moves into a hostile province, it will attack and lay siege to the garrison in it.

Ok, Auspend, can you please wipe out the old Union of Saint Andrew treaty, and replace it with this? But you can let the poem stay on the top if you want to:):

I.
The union's members is equal in the Union.

II.
The members of the union is obligated to help the other nation(s) if the other is attacked by another country.

If the country of the union is the attacker, it will need the confirming of the council (see III) to attack a country.
If this confirming is not granted, the nations in the union is not obligated to help out the attacker nation.

III.
There will be a council, with representives from each country.

There will be votings for things that needs to be voted for (see this treaty).

If a new nation want to join the Union, it must be allowed by ALL members, if not, it can't be accepted.

Each country have one representive.

Each nation have one vote.

If the vote ends with a draw, nothing happens until there is an agreement.

The council has its seat in Bucuresti. It will only be moved if found neccasery.

IV.
Each of it's members can have trade agreements with countries outside of the Union. Boycotts between the member nations is not allowed. Neither any other kind of agression.

V.
If a nation decides to dishonour this union in war, it will give the other members a Casus Belli, or Reason of War, against the nation that dishonoured the Union for 9 months (three turns). If the nation had a good reason for not joining the alliance, it may be forgiven, and accepted back in the Union. This will be decided by the Council.

VI.
Royal Marriages are well wanted between the members, but is not enforced upon anyone.

When a nation joins the union, it must sign and agree this pact.
If a country ever breaks one of these terms, their faith will be decided by the council.

Also, Serbia joins the Union of St. Andrew. Zakolev will confirm.

That's all, thanks.:)
