I second the "Danube Accord" has been terminated. It has served it's purpose and now something more permanent is needed.

While it's not my place to approve or deny I would suggest a more meagre realm than Poland to start with in the rpg. They're a pretty hefty role and you have an expansionist Emperor to deal with.

Anyways, I think I'm starting to get a bit more free time with summer hours at the restaurant having begun. If it's okay with you JG I'd like to return to the Turks. And just so you don't have to ask I'd like my court reopened. Danke.

Auspend is absolutely right. We ask newcomers to the game to start off with a smaller role - then work their way onto the bigger ones when the know the game better.

I've just had a look at Poland's stats, though, and it's not as grandiose a role as one might think. It's as big a role as a newcomer to the game could hope to get, but it should be a fine starting point for you, sir. Welcome aboard. :)

Please once again visit the National Statistics thread and make a post informing our resident Nat Stats man BzAli what your new realm is and also what name you have chosen for it's head of state. Now you're ready to post your stupendous court thread!

Please also adopt the avatar of the realm you've been granted and hold onto it whilst you’re playing the RPG.

We advise that you do not use instant messaging programs like MSN, ICQ and AIM to discuss deals and alliances for the purposes of the game. Doing so generally leads to animosity, mistrust and a lowering of role-playing standards. Unless an RPG Steward is trying to contact you in order to help you understand the game better, it would be better for all concerned if you politely avoid talking about your role in the RPG with other, active players. The forum’s message-posting and private messaging (PM) systems should be all you’ll ever need to play the game.

Despite the fact that Denmark has taken a royal clobbering of late, it is still a very meaty role. Sorry, too big a chunk of real-estate to be starting out on.

As much as I'd like to approve your app, please choose a smaller role from the first page of the National Statistics thread. :)

No worries, Ausp. I'll dearchive your thread one time, and it should materialise somewhere towards the bottom of the main page. :)

I believe you're not involved with the 1515 game? Please also adopt the avatar of the Ottoman Empire. (or the HoI equivalent you sported last time will be fine).

Morm,

It's possible to buy land from other players, although we do not like to see it done without the situation being extensively roleplayed first. If the province(s) isn't close or even neighbouring to your realm, if it isn't the same ethnicity or culture, and if it isn't the same religion, there's a good chance a rebellion might spark off there in future years.

Really, I'd advise that you not attempt to go into the sale and purchase of land until you have been with us a while longer.

It's up to the selling player whether or not to sell their lands and at what price. I have been forced to step in and prevent some of the more ludicrous sales in the past and will do so again if needs be.

If you want to buy land from an NPC realm, that's a different matter altogether. :) You will need to request an event from whoever is doing the events (me, until Ladislav returns) as per the 'Events' section in the RULES and Religious Powers thread.

I hope that answers your question. :)

Josef

Much thanks,

Josef :)

True. My mistake, and one I have corrected now.

In the future, requests sucha s this could easily be handled by sending me a PM, saving me from public disgrace, and JG from wasting his time :D

In general, we control our own dynasties. If you have planned ahead, and RP'ed some marriage and birth of heirs, then the next man in line will of course become new HoS.
Note that the "Death of HoS"-penalty mentioned in the rules only applies if you HoS dies in battle, any othet succession is okay.

Also note that this game often differs quite radical from the history of real life. You'll often form political royal marriages unseen in real life, and thus you cannot expect to follow the historical line of succession for very long.

Hope this answered your question.

Treaty (Military Alliance):

The Union of St. Andrew

May it be our advisor, whenever we needs advice,
May it be our thoughts, and make us wery wize,
May it be our guidance, and always show us the light,
May it be our sword, when we will need to fight.

We shall stand side by side, as brothers in faith, and defend the faith with out swords against all those who seek to oppress us or deny us what is rightfully ours.

We shall combat heresy wherever we find it and welcome all those souls who have seen the light of Our Lord Jesus Christ into our arms.

We shall deny the infidels of the east the shores of our lands and prevent the schismatics of Rome from plundering our lands.

TABLE
1 econ spent by Pskov to give +1 to the dice roll.

1 Many merchants in Pskov who owed their enriched livelihood to the Wendische Handes Union find themselves priced out of business soon after the Grand Duke’s forthright denunciation.
(Pskov suffers -1 morale and -1 starting econ for 1 year/until Jan-Mar 1437 and also suffers -1 current econ)
