Hamil,

Byzantium will be fine as per those PMs. :)

The inscription drill, for your pleasure and delectation:

Please once again visit the National Statistics thread and make a post informing our resident Nat Stats man BzAli what your new realm is and also what name you have chosen for it's head of state. Now you're ready to post your stupendous court thread!

If you're not already playing in the 1515 game, please also adopt the avatar of Byzantium.

We advise that you do not use instant messaging programs like MSN, ICQ and AIM to discuss deals and alliances for the purposes of the game. Doing so generally leads to animosity, mistrust and a lowering of role-playing standards. Unless an RPG Steward is trying to contact you in order to help you understand the game better, it would be better for all concerned if you politely avoid talking about your role in the RPG with other, active players. The forum’s message-posting and private messaging (PM) systems should be all you’ll ever need to play the game.

Welcome back,

Josef :)

I'll be running the remainders of the Byzantine Empire. The Head of State is Ioannes (John) VIII Palaeologus. Cheers! :)

Ok, I am here with a petition for the creation of a Metropolitan of Moscow;) I have a list of reasons as to why this should be allowed. If I may....

First, from what I can tell, their appears to have been a Metropolitan of Kiev and of Moscow, but this game only has Kiev, and thats controlled pskov anyways:mad:

Second, with the fall of Constantinople to the Catholics, Moscow is now the largest and most powerful Orthodox city. In addition Russia is the largest and most powerful Orthodox realm. As such it is only fitting that this is represented in the Orthodox realm, and a second, historical, Metropolitan should be created for Russia, plus the existing Russian Metropolitan is under control of Pskov.

Third, I need this for some RP and to make hell for the rest of the Orthodox world, all those who oppose me that is;)

Any luck? ;)

P.S. why is the Metropolitan of Kiev under control of Pskov?

Absolutely. :) Congrats!

Sorry DH - only one Orthodox figure can claim the Orthodox powers as per those set out in the Rules thread. I don't have a problem if your guy claims in-character to be the 'supreme patriarch' (is a peer with, or outranks Shiiuga's character, for instance), but I can't grant you any of the game-mechanical features, like the religious court thread (a la the the one just allocated to Yoghurt for his Caliph), nor the powers of the Patriarch that Shiiuga's Patriarch can wield.

If I were in your shoes, I could think of a whole stack of events ideas that might give you what you want, though. That's the best road for you to go down. ;)

P.S. why is the Metropolitan of Kiev under control of Pskov?
The distribution of Exarchs is hopelessly out of date and I'm hoping Shiiuga will get round to updating it, soon.

Josef :)

I have been doing some research and also some work as Caliph.

I blended the powers of the Caliph and my understanding of the rules with my research about sunni islam and have changed the appointed ulamas to the following list:

CURRENT DISTRIBUTION OF ULAMAS

Algiers: 1
Candar: 1
Dulkadir: 1
Fez: 1
Golden Horde: 2 ( +1 Astrakhan)
Hedjez: 3 (+1 Mekkah +1 Medina)
Iraq (Kaliphate): 2 (+1 Baghdad)
Karaman: 1
Khazak Horde: 1
Mamlukes: 3 (+1 Cairo/Egypt; +1 Jerusalem/Judea + 1 Caliph)
Morocco: 1
Nogai: 1
Oman 1 (+1 Damascus/Syria)
Ottoman Empire: 1
Qara Koyunlu: 1
Timurids: 1
Teke: 1
Tunisia: 2 (+1 Kairouan)
Uzbekh Horde: 1

The Holy cities of Islam

Mecca/Mecca (+1 vote)
Medina/Medina (+1 vote)
Jerusalem/Judea (+1 vote)

Other cities of importance to Islam

Cairo/Egypt (+1 vote)
Astrakahn (+1 vote)
Baghdad/Iraq (+1 vote)
Damascus/Syria (+1 vote)
Kairouan/Tunis (+1 vote)

And the link to the Caliphs statement is here along with a minor argument for each adjustment. If you want more, I can send it to you Bz, or perhaps Josef, via pm or e-mail. :)

Ok, well I should have 1 eco right now I believe. Cause I was at peace by the end of last turn so that would allow me to generate an eco for that turn, correct?
Yeah, you're right. The second draft of the Russia-Golden Horde treaty was signed by both parties on the 28th - last week. That puts you in line to regenerate this turn.

Apologies if you read my first reply to this, which gave the wrong impression.

Josef :)
