Oh, the story of Savoie is a painfull one. But Piemonte IS playable as "The Duchy of Piemonte" I guess. Though you must be ready to play as a vassal...

Hi, I'd like to join - as the Duke of Savoy, if possible (allright, Piemonte, for those, who likes that name more).

You said I should write something, why I feel myself good for it...
err... as you see, this is my very first post in this forum, so I'm not that overly experienced... and I don't speak English very well...
now some pros: I have experience with pen and paper RPGs, I learned history and I have enthusiasm :)

I think, Savoy would be great, because it's the vassal of Genoa, so I could get a little help form form my liege lord in exchange for my money ;)
Hi, SaT and welcome to the forum. :)

I'm afraid I can't process your application until the admins get back to me after a check on your login - it's sadly necessary that I have to ask them to find out whether a newcomer with a fresh login has played the game before under a different name.

Until then, may I direct you to the RULES and Religious Powers thread, where you will find most of the important details on how to play the game.

Also, could you please tell us how you found the game?

Piemonte is a vassal of Genoa and would need to be roleplayed as such. This means Genoa gains half of Piemonte’s econ points, automatically gains right-of-passage through Piemonte and can expect all forms of homage from Piemonte, militarily and diplomatically, from a roleplay point of view.

I suggest that you pick another role if you would find this a tough pill to swallow. We do allow the players of vassals to sever vassalage ties, but at the cost of immense penalties. That road is not one for a new player to go down.

With that in mind, do you still want to pick Piemonte?

Josef :)

I found you through the eu II forums. And because the only thing I miss in the computer game is I can't say to my ally where and when to attack, etc, and I also miss more accurate dynastic relations, in fact I miss the RPG... so "Europa Universalis: Medieval RPG" just sounded about right.

vassalage has its own advanteges: protection, help in hard times. Genoa seems to be a major power in western Italy, a strong ally for me.
Piemonte. Definately :)

Just one more question: does Piemonte have an electorial vote in the HRE?

No. The only Prince-Electors are the Archbishops of Mainz, Cologne, and Trier(Played by the Pontiff), the Count Palatine of the Rhine, the Duke of Saxony, the Margrave of Brandenburg, and the King of Bohemia as set down in the Golden Bull of Charles the Fourth. There are some good links to it in the Rules thread as in the Imperial Diet.

Sorry, SaT, I almost forgot your application, there. The green light has come in from the top, so you're all clear! Piemonte it is, sir.

Please once again visit the National Statistics thread and make a post informing our resident Nat Stats man BzAli what your new realm is and also what name you have chosen for it's head of state. Now you're ready to post your stupendous court thread!

Piemonte's player still uses the Savoian avatar, so could you please adopt it. It looks like this:

We ask that you do not use instant messaging programs like MSN, ICQ and AIM to discuss deals and alliances for the purposes of the game. Doing so generally leads to animosity, mistrust and a lowering of role-playing standards. Unless an RPG Steward is trying to contact you in order to help you understand the game better, it would be better for all concerned if you politely avoid talking about your role in the RPG with other, active players. The forum’s message-posting and private messaging (PM) systems should be all you’ll ever need to play the game.

Welcome aboard,

Josef :)

Greetings,

I would like to apply for Aragon. I have lots of exp. in the 1515 RPG. I think I can handle Aragon since a play Russia in the 1515 RPG. I will have lots of free time to work on Role playing. And I have lots of imformation and graphics on Aragon.

Also I would like to say im sorry for being banned from here before as DanisVan. I was banned for plagerism. I didn't disserve to get a second chance, but thanks to the forgiving Josefgiven and the other RPG mod's I get a second chace. Maybe you will too.

Thank you

Hi, KW,

No sweat with Bavaria, she's all yours (again!)

Here comes the nostalgia-tastic next bit:

LordScod,
Welcome back to the forum. :) I'm afraid, though, that while you're still on a period of 'probation' that Aragon will be too grand a role. Please choose something smaller - I'm thinking of something in the line of 3 provinces in size, tops.

JG :)

Due to extenuating circumstances, I doubt I will be able to be active AT ALL for the FORESEEABLE FUTURE. But if you really want me to quantify it, I would say zero input from me for a minimum of two weeks, probably more like six. :(

So JG, I leave the option to you: to put Hungary on ice, or to return it to NPC.

Cheers, buddy.

PS. I shall return... (or at least give you an update in 2 or 3 weeks). :)

I am taking over control of Bavaria once again. My new HOS will be Albrecht III.
