Pact of Florence

Introduction
The devout nations of Naples and Tuscany have fallen under the whims of foreign invaders numerous times. This treaty is designed to prevent the happening of such in the future.

I. When either party, Tuscany or Naples, falls under attack the opposite party is pledged to present active military aid to the attacked party.

II. If direct military aid is not available then the attacked party shall be granted a minimal loan of 100,000 ducats [1 eco point] by the opposite party.

III. The Viceroy of Naples and his staff shall travel to Florence to sign and affirm the treaty.

IV. All attacks on either party six months prior to the signing of this treaty are subject to the terms of the Pact of Florence.

[x]Andrea II Julian
Lord Protector of Naples

[x]Cosimo I de Medici

A Trio of Questions

1) When and how does base defense regenerate?

2) Does winter affect all provinces or only those that traditionally get frozen/snowy weather in EU2?

3) I assume that it take 1 sea mil per land mil to transport troops but the RULES aren't clear. Is this correct?

Right of Passage and Game-Balance

A number of countries in the game are phenomenally remote yet at the same time very powerful. The Timurids and Oman come to mind.

The reason for their isolation emerges naturally from the wall of perenially NPC countries bordering them. Until recently this wall has worked both ways, preventing these juggernaughts from interfering in European wars and the Europeans from interfering with them.

In the last few IC years though, both Oman and the Timurids have leapfrogged this wall and now are interfering in European affairs. Aleppo for example, is now unassailable for any non-Muslim, simply because the Timurid heartland can never be reached. The same could be said for Syria, or had they annexed it Rhodes. Now these lands are far to the east and well within the historical Islamic sphere of influence.

With this recent war, we are now faced with an interesting prospect. The ERE has not yet ceded Thrace to Gelre, due to time complications with events, and should the ERE be annexed by the Timurid Empire, it will be virtually impossible to gain the RoPs necessary to assault the Timurid heartland, just as if Gelre does gain control of Thrace it will be virtually impossible for the Timurids to assault the Netherlands.

So, after all this, my appeal is simple. Could someone please clarify how or if these bizarre abuses of game mechanics will be resolved?

Map Anouncment

I have been having alot of trubble with my computer lately, MSBlast was just a minot setback.
My computer is filled with wierd files and stuff which i dont dare to remove and i have a trillion ton of Spywares. My registry is messed to hell.
The only logical action now is to format my whole computer and hope it will be nice afterwards, but i am unsure about when i will have my webserver up and running again, so the map will be down for a while, unless anyon can be the temporary host, just give me an e-mail (dont PM, i dont want my box filled with webspace offers) at laurentius__@yahoo.com (note, there is two "_" )
