Luxembourg for me!

I shall be the character of Sir Koenraad of Luxembourg, I shall be the nephew of her majesty the queen of Luxembourg (couldn't find her name anywhere!). I shall be main military advisor for the queen and her sole heir, as of now.

(From what I did find I believe that the queen only had a daughter).

I shall also be a

Bio:

Sir Koenraad von Luxembourg was born to Johannes von Luxembourg, elder brother of the queen. Johannes died young at 17 and did not take the throne. Koenraad was raised in the court of Brabant by his mother, Adelhaid, and her family. He became close friends with his cousin, Adriean von der Hyle, and as young men they would ride out together on the hunt.

The Queen adopted Koenraad as her son, having none of her own and raised him from 14 on. Koenraad married his cousin, Christina van der Heyle (the Countess of Louvaine) at age 15, she was 14. They now have three children, Constanje, Alexandra, and Maria. Koenraad has also become the military advisor of the Queen and knows Latin, Flemish, French, and German.

Okay, now I myself have a question: How are the interplay between real and multiple fictional genealogies resolved?

I myself maintain that Ladislav V is the last of the Luxemburg dynasty, as historically the family ceased to exist upon the death of the Duchess of Luxemburg. Tracid said "with the death of Elisabeth, the Luxembourg dynasty was no more" but at the same time Ladislav extended succession back to Emp. Karl IV and said how Bohemia "elect[ed] the infant nephew of Elizabeth of Luxemburg."

Emp. Charles IV „³ Emp. Sigismund „³ Elisabeth (D. of Lux.)
Emp. Charles IV „³ Emp. Sigismund „³ Johan „³ Koenraad
Emp. Charles IV „³ Duke Jan „³ Elisabeth (of Gorlitz) „³ Ladislav

Now, while I out of self-interest seek to preserve my rights to Luxemburg, I can't deny the diligence and thought put into this. I would love an alternative solution, but as an interested party, I like this guy.

It appears that you have a vacancy in the Papal States, and I would be more than happy to fill it.:)
WELCOME TO THE GAME! :)
However the role of Pope is electionable. That means that the players who have a cardinal (given by the previous popes) vote for a pope :)
So I suggest you choose another nation.
As you are a new player you are limited to a 1 or 2 province minor, so choose one and ask JG for permission :)

Gents,

I am extremly sorry but RL is really hectic around me these days, please be patient and enjoy the game without much Greifs in it ;) (and sdly I think that some of you can be quite happy because of that hehe :( ;) ) I'll try to do some actual RPing in the comming days but still I am not so sure if this actually happen.

I am however reading most of the posts around so at least I am more or less up to date. Once again, sorry lads :(

Arthur of Kings

mate, Petrarca is right, although you have the right to chose whatever character you wish some things cannot be undo, thus Luxemburgians are in their demise.

however, I think that this Sir Koenraad von Luxembourg guy seems an excellent character, might be a missing link ;)

have fun of the board. :)

Josef, who will be the steward for jeff? I'd like to know because I don't want to loose him while I'm AFK.
There probably won't be one, BB. The Stewards system is really an emergency measure for when we get those weird, sudden deluges of newcomers, all at once. Normally, and I guess this rate of arrivals and departures pretty much qualifies as normal, there's enough heads and hands around to help out as and when needed. Most folks know 'the drill' for most things. ;)

Newcomers: if you have any questions about the game, please feel free to post them in here. Or, if you'd rather not make them public because they're sensitive game-wise, my PM box is the place to send 'em. :)

Pepin and Arthur of Kings,

First off, welocme to the game. :)

I'm afraid I can't process your application until the admins get back to me after a check on your login - it's sadly necessary that I have to ask them to find out whether a newcomer with a fresh login has played the game before under a different name.

Until then, may I direct you to the RULES and Religious Powers thread, where you will find most of the important details on how to play the game.

Also, could you please tell us how you found the game?

How are the interplay between real and multiple fictional genealogies resolved?
I'm not entirely sure I understand the question. If I have, though, generally, we permit players to generate fictional scions of a popular dynasty - you know, your Hapsburgs, your Plantagenets, etc. - no matter how thoroughly a previous player has tried to purge them from the history books.

I mean, I'd have no problem if a player killed his own, fictional dynasty off for whatever reason, but not one of the biggies. Just off the top of my head, let's say a certain family name carries so much historical significance, that you could have one of your characters claim lineage either through marriage or blood and convince those around him via RP skill. The possibilities are pretty much endless. The potential for old school RP fun, similarly so. ;)

JG :)
