Hi, Metto,

Portugal will, naturally, be fine. I don't have much time unfortunately at the moment, so I'll assume you want your old court de-archived. Apologies if you wanted to start afresh, but I'm guessing you'd rather just get stuck in, what with the joust and all.

Please once again visit the National Statistics thread and make a post informing our resident Nat Stats man BzAli what your new realm is and also what name you have chosen for it's head of state.

Please choose between your new role in the Medieval RPG and any role you may have in the 1515 game and adopt that role’s avatar. Either way, please include a mention of your new role in the Medieval RPG in your signature.

We ask that you do not use instant messaging programs like MSN, ICQ and AIM to discuss deals and alliances for the purposes of the game. Doing so generally leads to animosity, mistrust and a lowering of role-playing standards. Unless an RPG Steward is trying to contact you in order to help you understand the game better, it would be better for all concerned if you politely avoid talking about your role in the RPG with other, active players. The forum’s message-posting and private messaging (PM) systems should be all you’ll ever need to play the game.

Hello all,

I see opportunity! The Golden Horde player, Georgia player, and Genoa player are all nonexistant, or...unavoidably detained, shall we say (them Genoans ). This means I'd like to officially inquire into what it takes to make Crimea independent. Will I have to roleplay a Rebel Scum leader? Will a couple provinces be generously donated by the Great Almighty GameMasters? etc.

Thanks!

Hajji Giray I
(hoping to roleplay himself!)
Hi, Hajji,

No guaranteed promises, but we should be able to manage a Crimea for you. One thing something like that will take, though, is time, and I'm fresh out for the immediate future. If you keep an eye on the Nat Stats though, you should see when I make the post in there detailing the creation of the Crimea, which should be sometime Thursday evening, UK time.

I should mention in advance that, in fairness to the Golden Horde, the ceded Crimea will almost certainly be a vassal of the GH, and further severance of the vassalage will come at the cost of severe in-game pain. ;)

Oh, and this would be a good time to mention to all and sundry that I'm upping the penalty for severing vassalage from the minor rebellion event to a major rebellion event, which is exponentially more unpleasant. :D

It's nice to spread a little ray of sunshine. ;)

JG :)

With the coming of Victoria, and new social work at night, I will not be able, for now, to continue my role as Burgundy. I WILL BE BACK, just not for the coming few months. So I would kindly ask you to put Burgundy on the ice for now :)

For the record, my queen ain't dead.

Thanks for the quick reply! Actually, this seems historically okay, considering that Crimea was granted (!) independence by the Horde and operated rather closely for a few years, until they turned on the GH and started picking them apart.

I look forward to rejoining this terrific RPG!

Only if the nation of the bride gives the nation of the groom rp clearance. ;)

Now i'm sure if you had a marriage and the other partner went npc you could probably get rp clearance from the mods, but that's a different case. :)

BB,

Good to hear you'll be coming back. However, since it's a period of months that you'll be away, I think it would be best if we made Burgundy available. It's just too long a period for a realm of that size to stay on the shelf, I'm afraid.

It won't go to any but the most worthy applicant, so it should be in a fit state one way or the other, when you come back.

It's another of those niggly, fasitious points to make, but it has to be done as per Katz's post. Folks get awfully attached to their characters, so RP permission needs handing over at the point the bride's hand is given away! ;)

Last time, it went to Wasa....

.... yeah, you know what I mean :D

Ask the person to at least contact me when he or she is chosen. I don't want a right of first refusal on it, but just to convince the person to at least not kill the whole familly and such.

Cheers!

Thanks a million, josef! You're so generous!

:)

Will try and do a spectacular job with this court...which is not very hard, considering there's only one English site about the country, but an overabundance of pictures.

It's really JG's board, and he's thus very welcome to correct me;

The stats of rebellions depend on the stats of the nation they're rebelling against. Gelre has tech/morale of 5/5, which is why rebels against Gelre has so high stats.

Most of the rebellions seen so far has been in moslem countries, and they have far worse stats.

Gentlemen/Ladies (Delete as applicable).;) :) Welcome.

It is an unfortunate fact that checks need to be run on all new players loggins. The MOD incharge of this thread and the overall game has gone away until late Sunday so there will be a little delay.

I suggest you familiarise yourselves with the rules and await his return. Could you also tell us where you found out about the game please?

IF you come in search of the Tourney I will be accepting applicant knights until Monday, so don't panic.

EDIT: BTW. Ramius m8 Baz is correct.

On the EU:II cg-map that this game is build over, Friesland has no port.

And without ports, no navy.

This shouldn't stop you from RP'ing merchants and the like operating from minor or even major Frisean ports, but without going through events, and being ready to invest some ressources in it, you won't have a navy.

IIRC, the last Friesian player paid for an event in which he got one seamil for two years. I'm curious to whether that is still in effect or not.
