Cardinal Alvaro bows and shows the sign of the cross before the Lateran Council. He steps up to the table, and signs the Calis Armistace at both the King of Portugal's request and at the permission of the Holy Pontiff. He then steps back for a minute and bows again, giving the sign of the cross. He takes his seat and prays.
