I thank you for your concerns, it means a lot to me. The problems you speak of have been resolved. Apparently, the Khan of Crimea spoke his thoughts and not the wishes of the Regent Khan of the Horde. The Regent Khan has assured me that his intentions towards Genoa are good, and war between our realms has been avoided with no damage to relations. Rest assured, I will keep to my promises made to the Emir of Tunisia and I shall not, for any reason, invade the Maghreb.

We know they are ambitious, for we remember the wars their predecessor made against the Golden Horde and the Ottoman Turks. Hopefully, they will not sever relations with us, as they have many problems at home to deal with, namely the Shiite Persians living within their realm. If you could dissuade them from warring with Genoa, we would greatly appreciate it.
