I must request that you cease all piracy. There are other ways for these corsairs and freelance ships to make money, for example, simple honest trade. But, by performing piracy, this hurts Genovese trade, and eventually, the merchants of Genoa may take matters in their own hands, and they can raise quite a force that may very well threaten your lands and your trade. As for a non-aggression pact, as long as you end the piracy and steer clear from aggression towards our christian neighbors, you have no fear of a Genovese navy ever near your beaches, or an army near your cities. Let us bring peace back to the Mediterranean."

A message arrives for the Emir from the Sultan of the Mamelukes

"Good Emir,

We seek to become your friend. We would like to exchange ambassadors and become allies. I have taken the opportunity to send you a premptive agreement. There is a possibility of Tunisia joining this alliance at a later date, but because of their actions of hostility against my country I have not invited them at this time. This agreement will not come into force until all conflicts, that the respective countries involved in the agreement are in, have ceased.

The Northern Africa Alliance

Each country will provide full access to lands in the event that the others army should want to pass through. Each country will fully support each other in the event of a war IF asked to do so.

If the two countries go to war then the agreement will be declare void.

Enned Ibn al Tahti returned from the court of Genoa. He bows in front of the Amir.

“My master. Im here as you orded.”

The Amir was silence for a while and then began to speak.

“Good Enned. Say.. how was your tripp to Genoa?”

“The Doge of Genoa was showing me hospitality but the climate was to cold for my liking. I fear that I could do no use there.” Enned Ibn al Tahti answered.

“Dont worrie” the Amir said. “I have a new mission for you. A mission that can set you in trouble.... even get you killed”

Enned Ibn al Tahti listened very carefully now, to the words of his master.

Three warships ancor in Al-Djaizar. It is the famous corsair and the Amirs trusted servant Shahram Ben Messaud, brother to the amir-l-bahra, who returns after a recon-mission. He heads for the court. The guards recognize him at once and let him in.

“Ah my dear Shahram. Finally you return.” The Amir says at first sight of the corsair. “Did you finish your mission?” He asks.

“Yes master” Shahram aswers. He then takes up a map covering the Minorca island.

“As you can see, the counts words was true. They do strengthen their fortifications.”

“Is it something we may fear in the future” the Amir asks.

“No master” Shahram answer. “Let them burie themself in their fortress. Our ships will be far beyond their reach”

“Good” the Amir says

"What kind of misssion, master?" Shahram asked.

"I want you to prepare your corsairs and the navy for a tripp to the west of the medetiranian" the Amir answered.

"They will be ready to sail in a week" Shahram said and then walked out of the court to prepare the navy.

“Great Amir of Algier,

The Sultan of Fez hopes that my presence here, as representative from Fez, is to your satisfaction. He would be glad if you send an ambassador to our court. The Sultanate of Fez wishes for friendly and peaceful relations with the great Amir of Algier.”

“Greetings son of muslims, prince of the believers, honored Amir of Algier”

“Greetings Shahram” the Amir answered.

“The fleet is ready to sail on your orders now” Shahram said.

“Good Shahram... but Im not sure that will be necessary anymore. I have talked to the ottomans representative in our court and it seems that they rather will borrow money from us then wishes us to send our fleet to aid them.” The Amir answered.

“Will you grant a loan, master?” Shahram asked.

“Of course... we must always aid a brother in times of trouble!”

“Of course.” Shahram said, taking a bow and leaving the court.

I thank you, in the name of Uthman III sultan of Fez, for sending an ambassador to Fez. Let us hope that this will be the begining of a new peacefull era of friendship and cooperation in our realm of the world."

After this statement by the Amir, corsairs, warriors from different berber-tribes and the amirates military forces was set in full battle readiness.

A letter from Georgia; General Mikayel Chamchian Lord of Erivan

Omar ben Messaud Governor of the city of Annaba and “amir-l-bahra” lived in a grand palace in the center of the city. His palace was protected by a series of high walls and many guards...devoted in life and in death to "amir-I-bahra". Off to the side and protected by a group of loyal and faitful eunick slaves was his harem and the quarters of his children. His favorite was his son Ali.

The sun had went down and he was eating dates and figs, sitting near the fountain with his favortie concubine when a noise, ever so faintly distrubed him from his earthly pleasure. The concubine tried to sooth him back into his relaxed state, but high and alert he knew soemthing was wrong. He raced to his sword and rushed to where the sound and come from, careful that he tread lightly on the floor.

Then came a gurgling noise that sounded like water, but he knew well there was no water in the room.

His son...sat terrified in the corner staring at the severed head of his mother..her white eyes staring into the abyss of death and where her head should be was a small, now blood soaked letter with a coat of arms he had never seen.

The letter read simply:
Admrial of cowardly pirates and brigands

My name is General Mikayel Chamchian Lord of Erivan; There are Armenian or Georgian spies in every court across the globe, we here all and we see all. Though you think you shall be spared from the wrath of Georgia, you shall not.

Beg your lord for forgivness, beg him to withdrawl from this futile effort..beg him for the life of your son...for our assassians shall return.

With a scream Omar falls to his knees. His face is totaly desformated by grief. Just in that moment, in that condition, he swears a oath, a oath to the great Allah, that he will not rest until this, this coward, this backsneeking son of a h*re, General Mikayel and all of his kin is eliminated. And just for precaution Omar send the rest of his family up to the mountains where they can stay in safety from further acts of this son of a mule that call himself a General.

We hope that those promises never have to be acted upon, but we fear that the time may soon be here as the Duke of Braganca have come with a ridicilus proposal. Judging from his proposal he is not only a heathen he is also totaly insane. As the sultanate of Fez stands neutral we dont expect the Amirate of Algier to intervine with its armies, if a conflict between Fez and Portugal is rising above the horizon. The Sultanate of Fez do hope that the Amirate of Algier would be willing to grant the Sultanate of Fez a loan, if this issue would escalate to war.”

As pleased as we are that the caravans of Algiers choose to come through Trebizond, is how pleased we would be to allow Rite-of-Passage to the armies of the Amir. Your ambassador to my humble court has pleased me greatly. This man, Kor bin Alnya, would serve as my representative to your noble court, should this be permissable to you. Let us engage in a fruitful relationship that will benefit both our peoples.

I have heard disturbing rumors that your people may be in danger from the Iberian barbarians. Should this be so, know that it would be this one's honor to aid you, and ensure that Dar-es-Islam stands as one against all heretic invaders.

Shahram ben Messaud enters the court. Behind him is Ibn al Kufra, the former ambassador in Neapel, who was imprisoned by king Erick, when the relations between Algier and Neapel was going bad.

“Ah my trusted Ibn al Kufra. It have been a while.” The Amir said.

“Yes master, but thanks to you and Shahram Im free again” Ibn al Kufra replied.

“Yes. You have served us well Shahram, as always.” The Amir said to his trusted corsair.
