I know that in the grand campaign start of EU3 there was a nation that held land which is essentially the mainland provinces that are now Treviso, Fruili, and Gorz; which now are a part of Venice and Austria. In the current build of EU4, and I believe also in Art of War, there is no nation of Aquileia and there are no cores in the provinces they held. I find this weird because when looking in the files of the game I can see that there are still files for the nation. According to wikipedia, Aquileia was annexed by Venice in 1420, so at the game start in 1444, there should still be Aquileian cores in the provinces they held. Am I missing any rationale behind removing Aquileian cores from the game?
