How about starting a new game with no Mods and Assets, that would then be a good base for testing the Update.

If you use weird mods, there might be conflicts. I haven't had any issues with mine though and I use a lot of the common/large ones.

Nothing with vanilla save games though. :)

Oh, and before we get back to that fun topic that just got closed down. We're still on time. Some people over-reacted to the phrase "being designed". Both tunnels and W2W buildings are looking good.

Final conclusion of what TotalyMoo said::

We will get the patch this evening - everything we ever dreamed of will be included, everything will work 100%.

If NOT its HIS fault and HE will pay the pizza and beer we need to survive the weekend :)

While the apparent facial hair might put me off track, the pretty eyes and meticulously done two-tone hairdo put my vote on female..
I do however believe that everyone should be able to utilize whichever sex they prefer so I'd gladly refer to you as Mr. Moo!

Ps: I'm not taking any responsibility for this message being totally off topic.

Just for reference, which are the not common/large ones that could be the weird ones?
When I sort the workshop by filtering by mods, most liked ever, I take the top ten?

I mean, of course I could disable all mods when beginning a new city and then one by one enable the "most common" ones (in my opinion) and check until I get issues and then ask the mod devs to fix ...

Or I could have these "most common" ones enabled from scratch if I knew which ones are save to use...

I strongly doubt CO is gonna make any statements that even resemble a compatibility claim.
If and when any official update "breaks" a mod we can assume the modders will notice this and give it their best when trying to make it work again. If there is even a need for it. Many of the more popular mods add things that are so helpful that they might just be incorporated into the main game. I remember a mod to change the direction of one way streets for instance.

In regard to the large/common mods that add features which should be reserved for mods. Like advanced options that, while maybe being a godsend for advanced players, would only make things more difficult for the casual gamer. I do hope CO could/will give the modders some kind of heads up to limit the possible downtime.
Perhaps inviting them to the beta test team?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Release as BETA before going bananas on the general community to avoid another release-recall-patch fiasco; and the ensuing drama.

P.S. If you don't show up until Saturday, you're better of not going out on Sunday. Take your time until thursday to squash aout a few more bugs or tweak a little something here and there.
