Wasn't something mentioned at PDXCon I believe that there would be some sort of upvote/downvote system for new features?Design by committee is never a good idea. You'll have to trust our judgement and best will for our fans![]()

Tough, deal with it. We get a lot more community interaction than say, Call Of Duty fans for example. Please stop being so rude.
now you are being rude. could you please stop. I think you can still say we get a lot of developer interaction, even if it is indirectly through totalymoo. sometimes the devs are on here (and we're told they do keep an eye out on the forums they just can't answer every post) but you have to think, wouldn't you rather have a dev spend their time on upcoming updates? As far as community interaction goes, everyone on here does a good job at generally being here for everyone else for support, questions and bouncing ideas around, so i would agree we have a high quality community interaction.WTF does "community interaction" on another forum for another game have to do with our need for developer feedback on this forum? Not a damn thing, that's what. How much DEVELOPER interaction do we get here anyway? Stuff all, that's how much, and pointing that fact our is not rude.
I am not being rude. This is this 21st century, in case you hadn't noticed. We get stuff all developer interaction in here, the official Paradox forum for Skylines. We get nearly no feedback from the developers and that is not acceptable. Saying that something about a game we have paid hard currency for "isn't good enough" isn't rude, that's how we let the devs know how we feel about whatever aspect of the game is inadequate. We know they're working on tunnels, European style wall-to-wall buildings and a bunch of vague, unspecified other stuff That's it. We get nothing from them about what their priorities are. We get nothing from them about where they see this game going. They make a point of avoiding us so when 'Moo or anyone else runs trust us" line I say no. I don't.
Just because it's the 21st century and you paid money for it doesn't entitle you to know what the developers are doing at any one minute.
Community interaction is not a feature of the game, nor is it in the terms of agreement you accepted when purchasing the game. You are entitled to raise a support case to get an issue fixed, and as said multiple times, they attempt to read everything posted in the support forum so if it's a big enough issue it'll be fixed.
Working in IT I get this all the time, coming into our office yelling that something is not working and being rude about it will just make the support staff annoyed and less likely to take your issue seriously. When people come see me asking kindly for help, 9/10 that's when I'll drop what I'm doing to come help you.
I didn't say "Just because it's the 21st century and you paid money for it doesn't entitle you to know what the developers are doing at any one minute." so stop making shit up. I did not say that.
I said that "trust us" is not good enough in the 21st century. Because it isn't. How many times have game companies treated us like shit?
And please don't give me the "I work in IT" line because I have probably worked in IT since before you were born and you know what? It's got nothing to do with the rights or wrongs of how game companies treat their paying customers.
Playing Vanilla is a good way to learn how the game hangs together without Mods messing things up balance wise.
Also I'm working on the last achievement and I want to get it playing just Vanilla Skylines like I did the others.
After that of course there are some Mods I'd like to try out, mainly ones that aid the game rather than modify the game play, like. the Road Protractor which looks really useful.
I played vanilla for a while.. until the seagulls, chirper and the sirens combined gave me brain aids and I had to seek out a cure. From there I've been modding it up ever since and it's great. One mod which upscales the resolution even made me go out and upgrade to a gtx970 and by god it looks amazing with the assets.
I like your style of playing vanilla and I did it myself for a while to ease in. Plus I feel that I'm "cheating" if I use mods etc. in games.. but not anymore
When this next update comes out I'll be disabling them all though and gradually re-adding them just in case.
Here's a screen shot using some of my favorite mods (sun shafts, first person, saphire UI among others).. this was taken before the graphics card upgrade and it still looks good (fps not so good haha)
How can you be satisfied with the amount of communication when people like myself keep telling you it is inadequate? At what point do you stop and start taking us seriously?Okay, time out or we'll have to start handing out warnings. This is not a forum for fighting.
You're free to have which-ever values and expectations you wish on interaction from developers or publishers. Feedback is also, of course, not something we will regulate - so go ahead and share.
We're satisfied with the amount of communication and available information from our end.
My personal opinion can be found below.

We at Colossal have had to prioritize our efforts to working on the patch, which will include tunnels, European buildings and various fixes that will be specified in the patch notes. It doesn't make sense to us to start listing the issues here beforehand as they haven't even been fully tested yet. I hope you can understand that.
We are still reading the forum actively and now that I am looking to hire more people to join the team we hopefully can again allocate more time to actually answering the posts. But please remember that I will always rather have the team actually working on the game and recently we have been very busy to bringing you guys the next patch as soon as possible. I can reveal that the tunnels are starting to shape up, but we are still working on the European assets. I think it's looking very nice already, but I'm a sucker for those old styled buildings anyway![]()
Don't worry too much, it's a vocal minority who are impatient for news
In the meantime I need to go back and get those 30,000 Industry squares, I need to unlock that Eiffel Tower I'll never use![]()
I think your Eiffel Tower will look pretty fab in the European theme, so you should definitely get it![]()
I for one have never asked for premature information about the forthcoming patch. My concerns, expressed several times already in various threads, have always been more substantive than that. However, I have yet to see anyone from CO address those concerns. We at Colossal have had to prioritize our efforts to working on the patch, which will include tunnels, European buildings and various fixes that will be specified in the patch notes.
