One line summary of your issue
Late game lag in singleplayer

What platform are you running the game on?
Steam

What operating system do you use?
Windows 10

Which version of the game are you running?
v1.303.43287

What expansions do you have installed?
Revelations, Invasions

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
The longer the game progresses, the more often red words popup says "You cannot do this action right now." Turns is set to simultaneous turns. I'm now at over 200 turns mark and accidentally triggered the start of the battle for domination victory. It happens. But turns keeps on taking longer and longer and its now well over 10 minutes per turn the new turn starts and I'm trying to act but the game wont' let me because the AI is still moving units one by one somewhere outside my vision range and i have to wait for whatever is happening to finish before i can start to kick ass. Its quite a dull experience.

I mash the right button on my mouse trying to make the ai units move faster. I wait when a combat is in the progress, I understand.

The wait is too long and I'm losing interest and is playing a different game until its my turn to act.

I don't know what causes it. But it needs a fix otherwise if a game just drags on will be forever unplayable and unfinished.

Have you tried verifying your files?
No

Steps to reproduce the issue
Start a game on biggest world map possible. Let the game progress naturally. It starts pretty early but is very tolerable and acceptable. But the longer the game drags on. The time spent gets worse. Pretty much happens in every single player game I start unless i finish the game very fast by being extremely ruthless and end it by 100 or so.

edit: I made a mistake. I meant to say "Cannot queue actions at this moment"

You may as well update that AMD video driver:

If that doesn't help, please attach a save game file here that shows this problem. Thanks!

That seems to has helped to a degree. First turn with updated video driver was quite sluggish. It seems to improve as each turn processes. Not sure though because part of the reason could be because i've been killing AI units at same time in battles.

I seem to have discovered a rather.. gamebreaking bug somehow that showed up after I updated the AMD video driver card, one of my cities I conquered from the AI named Josenbur now has 1 production owl, 2 production trooper and 2 production frigate. And it would have like 118 production stocked each turn.

That means I can spawn 59 troopers a turn from that one city alone. And that is why i have decided to share the save data.

Josenbur is located near the front between me and green kir'ko.

Here's the cliff notes to help you get up to speed quickly.

The world is divided into two factions.

Me + Chancellor Kor + Polina vs Log3n + Kiri Uz;kol

Here's the screenshots of Josenbur in question.

The city isn't anything special so I'm not sure what happened.

20201004234920_1.jpg

Only reason i can think of is that it was formerly AI city that probably had a production cheat. which likely turned off when i took it over and then for some reason ti turned itself back on. The novelty of summoning more than 60 troopers in a single turn is entertaining though.

Kiri had eight stacks here. Not anymore.

20201005002649_1.jpg

Plus five other stacks of unmodded amazon units that tried to take a bronze landmark from me north of this screenshot. They got blown up.

In conclusion the AMD video driver update seems to have helped but i'm not 100% certain. I'm taking actions more quicker. There's still small amount of time where I have to wait for ai to finish moving their units and that can continue even when its time for me to move my units.

Plus Josenbur city going berserk and raising incredible number of troopers each turn is why i decided to share the save.
Save's name is Capital World Helena.ASG

Please let me know what's happening. Thank you.

Hey Ericridge, do you have earlier saves where you didn't conquer Josenbur yet? I can see in the Colony Center that there is a Broodcluster, as well as Amazon and Vanguard Defense Turrets. The colony also has a accumulated -90% Production costs that should be limited to -75% at least but neither of those should push it to 2 Production.

I unfortunately don't. I generally only keep one savefile for singleplayer games and continue to save on it so that if i make irreversible mistake that leads to my failure I cannot just reload to a earlier date and cheat. xD That way the AI gets to earn its win rightfully should it manage to do so against me.

So I checked my oldest save that I have for that one specific map which is an autosave that goes all the way back to turn 204. And it was building troopers normally. 61 prod each. I'll upload the autosaves here for you to investigate. I just reloaded my current turn 220 save and rechecked josenbur, its still listing owl at 1 prod and trooper/frigate at 2 prod. Anything else is still normal.

I don't know if Josenbur was originally a independent settlement or was a city controlled by one of two amazons who got eliminated early on by Hatyl and Kiri. The brood clusters in Josenbur likely came from Hatyl Ur'Uk from when the city was under his control. Then I eliminated Hatyl from the game and took over the city and migrated my people in. That's where the vanguard turrets came from. I ordered them to be built. I cannot be 100% positive about this particular location's history because it was far outside of my sphere of influence.

I have the autosaves put into the winrar file and uploaded it into the attachment of this post.

I just had a thought, could it be that I have Colony Militia doctrine active that caused the production to push it over the edge? Because the colony militia in josenbur is upgraded to max. Plus it has two types of turrets on top of brood cluster that's adding unknown amount of production. I haven't looked at cities very deeply in planetfall yet. It looks like brood cluster adds 50%, then defense militia adds other 15% then two turrets adds other 10% on top of base 10% cost reduction for a total of uh 50+35 = 85%? Josenbur was under my control for a fair bit of time for more than 20 turns and has been producing troopers normally for awhile after it finished building necessary stuff like militia stuff + happiness buildings.

Maybe the kir'ko Hatyl had Planetary Swarm doctrine active at the time when I defeated him? So the buff reapplied itself onto Josenbur late game? Because that doctrine adds other -20% cost to production to light units. But that doesn't explain the Frigate having its cost reduced.
