AoW: Planetfall - Game does not launch

What platform are you running the game on?

Which version of the game are you running?
Main menu cannot be accessed

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
1. buy game on steam
2. wait until downloaded/installed
3. click "launch"
4. observe that the window "Age of Wonderslanetfall is being started" appears for ~1 second and then simply disappears
5. After the window disappears, nothing happens at all. No error popup, no screen flickering, just... nothing.

I also tried to use the "open_beta" branch, but it is the same there.

Try to start the game

Attach DxDiag (PC) or System Info log (Mac)

Please go to .../Steam/steamapps/common/Age of Wonders Planetfall/ and run AowPF_debug.exe

Then go to C:/users/<UserName>/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Age of Wonders Planetfall/logs/ and attach here the latest game log file.

From C:/users/<UserName>/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Age of Wonders Planetfall/Config/ please attach here settings.cfg

Sounds like anti-virus interference to me
