One line summary of your issue
Draw distance for combat map object is too small

What platform are you running the game on?
Steam

What operating system do you use?
Windows 10

Which version of the game are you running?
1.303.43287

What expansions do you have installed?
Revelations, Invasions

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Some battle map objects disappear if they are not in the center of the screen. It wasn't like this several months ago (before Invasions) and I can't find it in the video options.

These objects seems to be special, they don't have opacity when close like walls. But some of them don't disappear. For example: white tents, pink trees do disappear, red barrels don't.
They don't disappear at once but by pixels, so you can see half object.
It is somewhere like only 50-70% of the screen is fully visible.

Seems to be some optimization, but draw distance is too small, it should be *1.5 bigger to take full screen.

I tried different options (I play on low, tried high), but it is still here.

It is hard to play when you don't see objects in the edge of the screen, you have to move screen around and memorize them.

Have you tried verifying your files?
Yes

Steps to reproduce the issue
Go to the battle, move screen around - some objects disappear when they are not in the center of the screen.

So, can anything be done about it? Is it a bug or feature? Can my system influence it?

Everything was perfect before last extension and now there is that strange problem, I wonder why nobody has it.

Some news. I started game in the debug mode (from launcher) and it worked good, everything is visible all the time as it should! But when I started it second time in the debug mode it reverted to this problem.

So, something funny is happening with configuration, default is good but then it gets overwritten with something else after first launch.

I figured it out.

It is in "Advanced video" options. It is either Anti-aliasing or shadow-off or something hidden. When I uncheck it when everything on low (set on low/off, restart, uncheck, restart), this problem appears, but when I check it back it doesn't goes aways. The only way to restore is "restore default" button, setting manually doesn't work. Or something like that, I just restarted game like 30 times and don't want to do it anymore.

You definitely have bug here.

How to reproduce: go to the second battle in the tutorial (where 2 armies first time, not sure what other maps have it, but some others too), save in it, set everything to low in "Advanced video" (low, off, off, unckeck all), restart game, load back -- white buildings disappear if not in the center of the screen. You can't get it back by changing options manually, only with restore button. Have fun!

Now it works for me with low-off-off-antialiasing.

Hey Raoli, thank you for your report and Repro steps. We had a look here and it's much more impactful than we expected based on your screenshots & description. I have the graphics programmer looking into it, we did notice that if you set it to Ultra f.e. instead of Custom it will fix the setting/issue.
