Alright, nothing has changed for Custom Commanders or saving between Pre- and Post-Tyrannosaurus so all Custom Commanders should work. I've added your Lord files to my folder and they all appear to show up.These are your/your wives Custom Commanders correct? Does either of you have Character Customization Mods or New Race Mods installed?

I've been having a look at it appears that Lords are being saved with a different name. Why, we don't quite know. It appears that system running Win10 are still able to load the older Custom Lords, we are booting a Win 7 system to further determine why it might not work there specifically.
Can you guys also run the game in Debug mode, found in the lower part of the Paradox Launcher, go through Commander Customization and sent us the logs it generates. These can be found in \documents\Paradox Interactive\Age of Wonders Planetfall\logs.
We just pushed a update to the Open Beta branch on Steam with the fix, it's tricky for us to confirm but it should resolve your issue. You can check the discussion for more information.
Alright, then we need to keep looking. Also are you not getting a general 'Cannot Save settings' error?
