Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
After every battle with summoned drones that not yet expired game shows me how they get levels then die right after, with the usual unit lost announcement. Not sure if you waste experience like that but do you?
The issue existed since the very game launch.
Have you tried verifying your files?
Steps to reproduce the issue
Fight with imperial apc - summon drones - win before they expire - watch them "wasting exp."
