i know, the reason I suggested it as a flag for the Kingdom of Punjab under Ranjit Singh is because that was the only real Sikh Kingdom of any major importance to exist. The British allowed Ranjit Singh to rule in exchange for Singh's punjab serving as a buffer zone for British England. After Ranjit died though, his sucessors were bad leaders who ended up pissing off the British and getting Punjab annexed by 1849.
Singh did attack the NWFP where Peshawar is now, leading to a lot of animosity between Afghanis and Sikhs. However, Ranjit seemingly was a very good ruler who respected all religions. I went to Lahore last summer, where Ranjit is buried, and I was surprised to see a tribute type of display in his honor at a museum in the Lahore Fort. (The Lahore Fort was built by Aurangzeb, its similar to the Red Fort in Dehli).
