Well if no one objects, I can take a look and make some 1819-1848 events for Prussia/Germany. I'm the fella who wrote the flavor events for the US.

I know I can into this late, but happy to help Figured instead of complaining about 'when is it out' or whatever, I'd do something about it, like write script

Acutely there was a lot of different nationalist/revolutionary groups out there wanting a strong German nation. One of my favorite was an anarchist group centered in Hamburg, I believe. In fact they even tried to start something up right after unification and the they got their selves killed I cannot remember their name as of right now and I do not fell like looking it up. Maybe after the game is released I will make some flavor events for such "organization" (funny word for an anarchist group, don't you think?) but as of right now I see no point because I have no idea how they would effect game play.

Events like those could affect stability at least... and you can have multiple choice events, affecting stability and/or innovativeess, for example (either +1 stability or -1 stability and +1 innovativeness, the like... first option wouldbe sending troops to shoot them down, second would be letting go)

Well flavor ecvents are just small scale events that have usually a single action. They represent interesting people, groups, events that occur that wasn't a large effect (at least at that time) on the society's way of life or the government.

I know I wrote a bunch of small scale flavor events for the USA for AoN over in that thread (hopefully they will use them). I'd think it would be cool if all the major powers had some, as whwn I was looking for flavor events in this time period for the US, I noticed several that would work for UK, France, Prussia/Germany, Italy, Austria, Sweden, and Russia.

You can post ANY event concerning Prussia (PRU) & Germany (LAT)... Only Unification events are done

The conflict with Austria was in 1866 though.

Apart from that, the 1849 event with the crown would be pretty complicated. There'd have to be n event with a random result, depending on whether he accepts the crown or not. That might also depend on what you chose as the result of the Frankfurt convention (major german solution, minor german solution, absolute monarchy, constitutional monarchy, republic etc.), and in the most extreme of all cases, you have a constitutional monarchy (DP sliders pretty liberal) including Austria and therefore also Hungary.

Okay. I will work on that list.

Sorry I have away for a bit of time as obligations of work have kept me busy. I think I should have them finished sometime next week after I return from my trip to Memphis.


In addition I still think the Tirpitz (Appointed secretary of state for naval affairs) - 1897 event idea should be included (oppertunity to invest heavily in navy or not. I think this is important as the naval arms race between Britain and Germany was a major theme at the beginning of the 20th century).

Also my original idea 'Expulsion of the Jesuits (Beginning of the Kulturkampf) - 1872" event, unless this was already scripted.

Probably wrong thread but are we using the Monarch or the Prime Minister in countries were the Prime Minister has most of the control?

Monarch (head of state) should be it, with a boost to the stats and DP changes when a good PM is in office.

there should be. stability loss and innovativeness loss, as well as decreased monarch abilities. original william ii abilities should be high, since Bismarck was still in power when he rose to the throne.

Delinquent, shouldn't the Bismarckian policy maybe give a slight relation increase towards Russia? I thought Germany tried to foster good relations with Russia and Austria, and could care less what England and France thought.

yup, not quite as indifferent to the UK and France as that though
