Looks good mamut, this is the new forum for discussion? Question... is there any aspect in particular you need research done on? I have plenty of time and resources here at the university, and i am a history major...

GLORY! Someone answered me!!! Now with your questions
- Yes this is the NEW and OFFICIAL (I have Presoni's sealof approval :)) discussion on this matter.
- Yes I would love some help asI'm standed dead with 1.01.If you could help me with event scripting and mostly event debugging I would be in great debt. I believe you have ICQ, so once you read this we should have a discussion there (I'm always Invisible :))

1853 as Prussia, 1878 part of Germany

You guys really do great work. I appreciate your efforts and I am not very much into your project, so it might be that 1878 is a kind of starting date for a scenario...So if the following has certain reasons of gameplay, forget my post, just give me a short line of information...

Germany was founded in 1871 during the Franco-German war... so why do the German minors join Germany in 1878??

Not to be totally useless, I offer my help in researching German and European history, as this is a kind of hobby to me...

The date is because the AoN is to be divided into, at least, three scenarios starting in 1815, 1848, and the third one balancing somewhere between 1880 and 1884, but earlier it was 1878, that's why it is as it is. :)

For Italy... there has to be an event that can give whoever owns most of Italy the shields, but I don't think it should be limitted to Piedmont, as there very easily could have been another unifier... but the Papal States shouldn't be available...

A few things:

Anhalt, in the Anhalt province, was independent of Prussia untill the German Empire was proclaimed.

Perhaps Wuzburg should go to Prussia? They owned the city of Erfurt.
If it doesn't go to Prussia, then it should go to Bavaria since they were the ones who aquired the Duchy of Wuzburg around 1778.

Pflaz was Bavarian, but the capital shouldn't be Mainz, which was entirely under the control of Hesse-Darmstadt.

I don't get why some imperial (free cities?) cites are being represented, while others are not. Hamburg, Bremen, Lubeck were all "imperial" cities, but only Hamburg is represented. Lubeck is in the same province as Hamburg, so that's fine, but Bremen was certainly not part of Hanover.

Hanover should start owned by GB. The two didn't split up until the Victorian Era which can be represented through events.

Shouldn't Firenze / Siena start under the control of Austria? At the very least they should start as a vassal, but their joining of Italy could best be represented as rebels defecting from Austrian control to Italian.

Ok, just consult the various threads for ID ranges, possible country ID changes, and just post events in this thread.

I am SERIOUSLY.... and I do mean that, working on the unification of Germany. I need to know who and how to get in contact with other people working on this... ICQ or whatever (I need to redownload ICQ so I have no number right now). Right now I have 9 pages of notes am working on events, both for the northern confederation and for the possible side path if Bavaria had not switched sides to join rest of the german states after the Seven Weeks War (War between Austria and Prussia). Yes sad I know, but I really want to get this working, its become an obsession.

Libya was not Italian until 1911, before that it was Turkish so can take it away from Italy. And Nice, Corsica and Illyria should be core provinces too...
