I can confirm that I tested the patch with steam version and everything works fine.

You can play with usual AoD launcher, the patch files will be turned on instead of old files.

Well since the game is mostly sold online to be downloaded (see official homepage: http://www.aodgame.com/ section "BUY NOW" - there is about 10-12 online game stores),
I find that to be a rather lame excuse - you had internet, so you had the opportunity.
Prices on discount even dropped below 5€ --- if you dont think its worth 5€, then say so.. but dont try to make it sound like you where "forced" to pirate.

i have a pirated version, but I can't have a original game. i live in Bosnia and there is no place to buy a game here.i had to download it. I would have bought it if i could.So it should be this way, many other people are doing it from same reason as me. Game is no too expensive so you couldn't buy it

You can buy the game from www.gamersgate.com. There is never any excuse for software piracy, which is nothing but a romantic name for theft.

Yes you can, the only odd thing I noticed with IC and 1.07 is you are allowed the 10 tech teams by default now. Other than that it seems to work fine. I am using IC Revision 5 with AOD 1.07.

AFAIK 1.07 just fixes some smaller database problems and the sometimes out-of-balance ressource consumption versus available IC.

Um, wouldn't it be better to have the link go through the tech support forum or otherwise require a password & proof that somebody actually paid for the game? It may be fairly easy for someone to download a pirated version of a game, but it shoud not be so easy to get the latest patches and updates. Just a thought. BTW, I have the icon in my sig so obviously I paid for AoD....

The main reason everbody is making fun of that one guy is because he admitted it right in the publisher's forum.

I haven't encountered major bugs since v1.04

v1.06 was crashing my game. v1.07 is stable and I didn't experienced any issues.

I haven't read anywhere that something major exists so so far 1.7 is the purest of all the patches. It's like a woman you dated for some time and hardly sea any major issues with her personality but then again you haven't been dating her for that long

Never thought about my patches that way, but it sums things up quite well. Now I just hope to meet a really smart woman some day who are interested in cruising the high seas and not just stay at home all the time.
