A) There is actually no such thing as "CB shields" - there are only core provinces. A core province is a province that should rightfully be a part of your nation, with a small risk of revolt. If a core province is owned by another nation it naturally gives you a CB on them, and this should remain for as long as they hold it. (Your people are being oppressed.)

B) Agreed. I roleplay this myself since it usually means that your ability to continue the war has been ruined.

C & D) Indeed, the AI is useless at predicting attrition.

E) The problem is even more general; the AI never attempts to lift sieges at all.

F) I agree on principle, but war fatigue should be based on your country's level of participation in the war. War fatigue should not depend on merely being "at war"; it should accumulate from combat losses, population losses, drain on resources, etc.
