As in contributing for the game, I mean.

Any vicious untameable problems? Needed information?

With all the basic issues covered by the betas and the "grand lines" by the developers... Is there something suggestable left?

Maybe the developement team could announce a question/problem kind of thing, and we, the humble community, would try and find answers for such problems?

Maybe have it a`la weekly/monthly problem. Some oddities in the Baltic names pop into mind: Have a question like: "XYZ or XZY.. Which is correct?" And then people digging up sources and arguing... This would not hurt NDAs or the sort... Would it? Or maybe even something as grand as: "What model should be applied to represent espionage missions?" And people coming up with answers to that...

Paradox would not need to comment on the answers, although better if it did. The "Answer of the week/month" could be awarded by a warm trans-computer handshake, copy of the beta or something.

This would work for the benefit of both the community and the developement team. Firstly the community would have new subjects on which to contribute, and in all they would know to do something useful for the game, and secondly the developement team could make specific requests instead of reading endless random mumbo-jumbo about issues that have already been addressed.

Of course this might violate the "Law of Secrecy" that seems to be the custom here... Is it time to give that up? But if one wishes, one can withhold silence and just harvest the ideas, inserting the comment of "This discussion has been recoqnised by Paradox Entertainment HOI2 developement team."

Some sort of a weekly/monthly idea corner by the developement team, that`s my wish.

Or are we to return to our mortal lives and be patient until the day of truth arrives in all of its goods and bads?

Just wondering... Sorry if I made something unwanted. :)

(Notice the clever trap: A moderator sees this, thinks that it is whining, rant or the like and comes here to close this... A split-second before entering mod CP, he/she catches a glimpse of the text, gets interested and reads it..... Or maybe I am just hopelesly hopefull... ;) )

(Also most sorry for all the typos and bad language, my English seems to have started to deteriorate due to long AFK sessions... :D )

Hey double post isnt fare. :eek:o :D

BTW i really like the idea where dev. have a discussion with community about the game.I have already seen that and it helps to make funs feel closer to game design instead of wallets waiting to be get empty.

Anyway i think the only to do is wait patiently unitll we get the game and start bashing betas for its bug/problems because its they who didnt get them while if it was us(those outside)we have seen them and reported back. :D :p

Guess what, your already doing that!

Everytime they release a screenshot, we pick it totally apart.

In fact, if they want to know something from us, they will post a question or screenie and its promptly answered, for free too.

Just keep active on the forum and thats being a useful non-beta member.

I would be happy if I can contribute in anyway to the improvement of the game.

All time spent on forum answering questions is less time spent on developing the game.

But what about asking questions from the forum getting answers?

Take an example: What is the correct name for some Estonian village. You spend an hour searching for the correct info, find one source and use that. Chance of a mistake 20%. Alternatively: You ask the question here, get 20 answers and debation on which answer is the most correct, and you spend 5 minutes reading the answer and doublechacking. Chance of a mistake 1%.

But I am no expert, so I may not know all the details and backround info into this.

Ok then: I'd like a list of Nepalese, Bhutanese and Yemenese companies of the time. Names and what kind of products they did.

We just need stuff like "Company X: They made fighter planes. Company Y: The made tanks. Company Z, the chemical producers. A picture of a logo to go with these is good too :)

This was known as "Operation Z" (I know YOU know that BTW  )
Z The aerial attack on the US Fleet at Pearl Harbour executed 7th December 1941.
Some other references:

http://www.ibiblio.org/pha/myths/jm-097.html
http://www.ibiblio.org/pha/pha/pt_12/x12-008.html

There are 3 other WWII references to "Z"
1/ 10 year plan for build up of German Navy started in 1933 (Plan Z)
2/ Plan for Japanese Naval operations in Philippine Sea in 1944 (never executed) carried by Admiral Fukudome when killed by American Fighter Planes 17th April 1943. (See operation PEACOCK which in turn refers to MAGIC - breaking of Japanese codes)
3/ Planning name for DRACULA which was the Allied assault on Rangoon launched 3 May 1945. See also VANGUARD (another planning name for DRACULA). DRACULA replaced operation CULVERIN which was never executed.

So - you see PB-DK? There is a vast amount of information readily available in this community.

Now - I am off to start research for Grosshaus and Vulture

I thought you might need help with the Tech Tree for Minors ;)

BTW - If we are not Betas - and we were not Alphas - does this make us "Deltas"? :D

Right on. I think he's asking for something for a little more formal that grants access to behind-the-scenes work (greedy little  ), but I think the system as is works great. As I'm sure we all know, the fans love to talk and the programmers love to listen.

Besides, eveyone who buys the first released version is basically beta-testing. Which is not a knock on Paradox by any means. The games are just too complex and deep.
