anyone with intel GMA900 out there?

I hate to start a new thread on this topic, but after a lot of reading both here and elsewhere I'm still not clear as to how serious of situation I'm in here. It seems to me that many concerns are being brought up about in-game graphic issues, but my specific problem pertains to the "failed to create graphics device" message that I receive upon initialization. Is there anyone else out there with Intel's GMA900 who has had this problem, and subsequently found a way around it? If my card is really a no-go, I'd like to know asap so I can stop fretting and maybe learn to be happy with HOI:II. Feel free to stick this thread somewhere more appropriate...

As I stated in the previous post, I am leery of proposing Intel cards if you’re looking at purchasing a new card that will support EU3.

In theory, the following ought to support the game, but I wouldn’t want to guaranty it:

Mobile Intel® 945GM Express Chipset Family
Intel® 945G Express Chipset
Mobile Intel® 915GM /GMS,910GML Express Chipset
Intel® 82915G/82910GL Express Chipset Family
If you have an Intel GMA chipset, begin by reading this information. As stated there, Intel says that the new GMA X3000 will have actual hardware support of the necessary libraries, but their other GMA chipsets use software emulation to mimic this support -- often resulting in some serious issues and incompatibilities with games. I would not expect them to work with EU3; and even if some of them do, they will probably not offer very good performance.

As stated your card probably woun't work.

If you want a cheap one, Geforce 6600 is good (can play most new games) and only costs ~$60
