Looking forward to seeing all those who can make it in about seven hours' time! Just sent out the link to all who have expressed an interest so far (and if you haven't yet – there's still plenty of time!)

I'll be online from 2000 UTC, or just before. Should be a fun one!

I wish to thank everyone for allowing me to join and especially @DensleyBlair for organizing. Imagine my surprise when the first person that I met was also from Gloucester (only 3600 miles and one small body of water away). One of my county's restored homes, Warner Hall, claims Gen. George Washington and Queen Elizabeth II as descendants. Most know of the small event in 1776 that led to us on the west shore of the Atlantic to no longer be part of the kingdom. In 1676, Nathaniel Bacon led a rebellion where he burnt Virginia's capital, Jamestown. After burning Jamestown, he established his headquarters at Warner Hall which was owned by Augustine Warner II (speaker of Va.'s House of Burgesses and great-grandfather of George Washington.

Was great fun seeing everyone! I hadn't expected that we would still be talking away after six hours, but somehow I feel like people could have probably gone on for six more had it not been so late (in Britain, at least). :D

There was talk of another one at some point in the early autumn, so will be nice to see people again around then. In the meantime, for anyone who can make it, me and @TheButterflyComposer have been talking about a meet-up in Manchester (UK) over the weekend August 6/7. Will perhaps make another thread for that one in due course…

Sounds like fun was had by all. Sorry I was unable to make it - something unexpected came up. I'll surely try to make the next one.

Sorry to hear that, coz! :( Your presence was definitely missed.

Unfortunately, there's a small matter of having to cross a rather large Pond that will keep me from the Manchester meetup, but I'll definitely look forward to the next video session. Keep me in the loop!

With thanks to @DensleyBlair for making this happen, it was a delight to meet them virtually with @stnylan, @Specialist290, @filcat, @Midnite Duke, @Macavity116 and @TheButterflyComposer, gentlemen all. Apologies for having to retire after a couple of hours, I had to prepare for a rather hectic day of work today. But it was a great event and one that I look forward to supporting in the future, as well as adding to my list of must-read AARs.

It was wonderful to have you along, Le J! A pleasure to chat for a couple of hours, and I’ll look forward to the next one. :D

Cheers to all for the great event, and sincere gratitude to @DensleyBlair for the organisation. It was nice meeting and re-uniting with you all through the lens of the digital images transmitted by bits of data over the net of the obscure reality (heeey, it had to be done, what else would you expect from this one, of course convoluted prepositional phrases there will be once the keyboard is unleashed). For those that could not make it, all of you were missed dearly, and hopefully next one there will be more available time for you to join.

Until next time, cheers again!
