Anyone noticed Korea and/or Japanese minors in Mexico trade node in 1400s?

This is a very strange thing indeed. Did the Asians really have first contact with the Native Americans as in the game :D. Korea's current tradepower in Mexico in my current game is 23.6 in 1462. Hosokawa's also there with a tradepower of 18.2 and several other minors from Japan as well.

It's because Mexico feeds trade to the trade node in Japan, and since none of the diamyos or Korea have hard trade power in Mexico they gain trade power from their power downstream in Japan. I hope they fix it so they need to discover the trade node for that to work because right now it's super dumb.

Seeing that all the other routes were put in for historicity - it seems odd that this trade route is there. Makes it much harder to make money in that zone as well.

there is a legend that korean turtle ships made it to America and founded the Aztec and Inca empires. There are some linguistic similarities and pottery or some sort of evidence.

Seriously? If so, that's pretty interesting especially since according to Wikipedia (where else would I find this information?) the first turtle ships were created in the early 15th century. The Spanish conquest started in the early 16th century. This would means that the Aztecs had made their empire in only 100 years (I think that's pretty amazing anyways).

He wasn't being serious. He might as well have said that fairies teleport a random city in Korea that was busy in a large negotiation with Japan to the Aztec land to found them, or that the traders doggy paddle through the Arctic Ocean.

Well at first I thought that was pretty amazing. But after reading Wiki and making the post I was sarcastic (the part where there was evidence supporting it). As a legend tough, it still seems pretty interesting.
But fairies are cool too, bro ;).

Are they westernized? They shouldn't have power there if they haven't discovered it and I don't think they can ever discover it.

Japan and co have power in Mexico at the start, so it's the same principle in reverse.

This is a part of the reason for Chimu's better position now haha.

Well at first I thought that was pretty amazing. But after reading Wiki and making the post I was sarcastic.

Well, the last time I said I didn't believe in fairies the girl next to me punched me in the arm. It might have had something to do with her being a Tinker Bell fan and me having tipped one of the models over after saying that though.

Just like Chimu and Inca appear in the Philippines trade node.

And just like Mesoamericans steer from California trade node.

well I called it a legend. and I got it from some strange webpage awhile ago, I don't know how I got there. it might have been a fantasy made by some Korean nationalist. interesting nonetheless.

The hypothesis (and it is just that) is that a single Native American tribe could be descended from lost a Chinese or Japanese fleet that was sent to explore the east. There are language and pottery similarities in that single tribe, although no archaeological evidence backs up the theory.

Would you please not lump us all together for an act of few fanatics?

I could say that apparently Russians are Nazi supporters pointing a Neo Nazi activity in Russia, or Japanese being Hilter's fans especially since their former prime minister said how they should follow suit of Nazi's case in changing constitution.

Besides, turtle ship is not even designed for high sea voyage or an exploration. It is designed for battles on coastal waters. I highly doubt that even Korean nationalist fanatics would insist something as crazy, which makes me wonder if you came up with the idea to make Koreans look bad.

No, I wouldn't have.

To be fair, it's true that Korean media feasts on cheap nationalism because many Koreans are raised and educated to be crooked nationalists and I'm really tired of that, too.
