First let me say I find this a very well-polished game, engine-wise. I generally don't worry about the details because they can be modded. However there are a couple of very annoying features that I have not found a way to mod.
  • The very silly rule that you can't declare war without sending all your levies home.
  • How wars end when the various involved characters die.

Any ideas?

Really, I'd say the second is an integral part of the identity of the game. Its about people with claims who declare war, not countries with claims. Anyway, instinct makes me think those things might be hard-codded. Did you try asking at the modding sub-forum?

This one should be moddable, as it's different for each cb.

Seems so, as end_war = invalid seems particularly suspicious. Don't have any time to test this, though.

Code:
	on_attacker_leader_death = {
		any_defender = {
			letter_event = {
				id = 251
			}
		}

		end_war = invalid
	}

Agree to some extent. I don't plan to eliminate it, but I don't agree with how it currently is. e.g. claim wars. The war shouldn't end when the claimholder dies if his son inherits the claim. Religious defense wars shouldn't end unless the new ruler is craven or cynical, etc.
