Anyone ever defeat Germany as the USA or Great Britain?

On normal difficulty or higher, especially very hard difficulty. I'd like to know how it went in a couple of sentences.

I have only played 10 minutes combined as the USA and Great Britain.

Did you get a downfall of Hitler pic at the end?

I imagine light tanks on the beaches of Normandy, or maybe you stopped Germany from invading France or maybe war never broke out, etc.

I'm just curious what a USA, or Great Britain playthrough is like. Island hopping in the Pacific and Normandy in France?

I defeated once GER as US (long ago) but the outcome was rather odd with a weird partitioning of the european theater and so I didnt want to continue against SOV.
I actually remember very little of that game only that I had reached JAP main islands also at about the same time by doing the complete island hopping game in the pacific. I would have had to continue against them too to finish the game completly but I didnt.
I remember that I played somehow historical with landings in north africa and italy before doing D-Day.

I dont remember any special pictures for the downfall of the third reich but memory is fading a bit, its years ago that I played that game.
It was the original game without mods. I havent played like that since quite some time.

The only allied nation I ever played was Australia and I had quite a nice campaign helping the US in the pacific. Later, once UK/US beach heads were established, I supported the allies in Europe.

I never played US and always thought it must be too easy. Maybe I'm mistaken. I once started a campaign as UK (using the HPP mod on hard or very hard) but unfortunately I lost the save game around 1940 in-game when I moved to the next patch of HPP. I intend to repeat that campaign at some point.

Played one US game to about 1942, and essentially got bored with it. The UK simply has too much scattered stuff for me to enjoy playing, basically the same issue that I have with playing out most other countries to the end. Once you expand into a world power on multiple continents, keeping tabs on 6 different theaters gets to be tedious, and I start finding more interesting things to do than play out the campaign to its inevitable conclusion. The UK STARTS that way, and I can't stay interested for more than the first few months of in-game time. France, on the other hand, is more compact, with only a few overseas colonies to deal with, although holding the line against Germany is tough, but I mostly play minor countries.

I've played all of the majors; with varying degrees of failure, but Germany is the main antagonist in the game and if AI Germany makes a mistake the game quickly becomes pointless.

In my 5 minutes with the UK I also felt that way. I was like, what I have to keep track of what is going on in India, etc. Don't get me started with Soviet Union and all the units you get at the start if I remember correctly.

I'm either playing as Japan or USA next on very hard difficulty. Conquering the Soviet Union as Germany in my current playthrough makes me appreciate what is going on in the Pacific and taking the Philippines as Japan sounds interesting. I'm not too keen on staging everything in Great Britain as the USA, but maybe it will be fun.

I have played the US from 1936 quite a few times and have been 'part' of the nations overrunning Germany. Of course the UK is doing most of the daring and fatal assaults and I see Russia defeated in about half the games but overrunning Germany is not hard once your well into Italy and France. The only hard part is when France is released back to itself then your supply is a pain in the neck. Invaded Japan and took Tokyo with a corps of Mechanized divisions. You can destroy the IJN really early on by fortifying Midway and having all your ships duel it out with Japan. After that its easy to land where you want.
