Anyone ever start a new game where you and all AI are at max tech?

my first time doing it. Allot of 4X games let you set the tech level (although in botf and civ i always start at the beginning - and never turn on the really fast research otpion in sins) I do like the research and progression in games but cant seem to commit to a real full game so im messing around with scenario and mods

Anyway this morning i started a large map with 25 AI (all advanced start) and 4FA so 30 total.
then using the play 01-25 command i gave everyone including myself all tech. So far lots of fun but obviously the advanced start AI's get off to a roaring start!!!
