To paraphrase a certain defense secretary: "you have to fight with the army you have, not with the army you wish"

That my fellow gamer is a classic.

Well, that depends on how its done. In HOI1 a 1936 start was usually sufficient to conquer the world with New Zealand!

Are you sure? With 1.06c????

Battle Scenarios

I really like the idea of battle scenarios. They can be played in a reasonable amount of time to completion. The short play times also lend themselves to multiplayer games.

I personally hope they do spend time tweaking them, and that other folks will develop more scenarios.

I'm usually one of those that say "real gamers only play the campaign game," but these battle scenarios are a good idea. They pushed me from a "maybe purchase" to a "definite purchase." Just my two cents.

Didn't read the whole thread. Mea culpa. :)

I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the demo. The LAST thing I want in a Paradox game is to be confined to like 8 provinces, have no control over production, research, etc.

If you release a demo, play to the strengths of your game. In the case of Paradox games, that is, IMO, your ability to take complete control of the country you're playing.

Anyway.

Doesn't matter much now, the whole game's coming out soon, and I'm buying it. :D

Yes. But if it is the case for HoI 2, why bother to buy the game since you get it all in the demo anyway :).
