I just discovered it on steam front page, looks like an awesome fun time, I plan on pre-ordering once I get my paycheck. I'm excited already.
Anyone else watching BattleTech climb the Steam Top Sellers list?

Battletech has been showing in the top 8 bestsellers for the las 24hrs for me but when I see what has been consistently showing up at the top I begin to have doubts about people taste in games
Its pretty darn awesome. I wish I backed more than just $150 lately... I wish I went for the highest level haha. Getting into the lore of battletech... Oh well, next time. Hopefully clan themed

Well us fans can do our part by spreading the word and writing killer reviews after we get ours. I expect the spike to occur after release and it bodes well for you he future.
Already posted a link to the Facebook page in a sci-if group I'm in. Also slated to go on a podcast once I have my game to talk about it.
The new Neptunia, Subnautica, and Slay The Spire all seem like very good games, and Stellaris and R6 Siege are huge. If those are the only items above BattleTech, I'd say it's off to a great start.
Down to #20 in strategy when I looked today, but still strong for an indie early buy.
I have a feeling that there was a huge rush of sales at the beginning from many people who either missed the Kickstarter/Backer support, or those who are not fans of crowd funding, and therefore preferred to wait for a release date and pre-sales to start. I'm guessing that it might slowly drop on the list (like it has) till it launches, and then I think it will spike again. Probably because some players do not like pre-orders and are waiting for the game's proper launch. I also think that as live streamers start to play the game, it will give it more exposure and that will probably cause a healthy spike in sales as well.
Overall I think we are going to see a relatively normal rise and fall on the charts related to certain milestones leading to launch.
I'm curious to see which YouTube/Twitch personalities will cover or live stream the game. There will be some I'd expect (like NGNG and maybe Sid Alpha and Critical Rocket). I'd be curious to see what other ones pop up as well.
I completely area with you, I am only surprised it hasent dropped much farther in this doldrum period leading up to the actual release.
I am not. What is not to like about 65 tons of armor, LRM and Lasers? Everybody wants that, some poor souls just don`t know it yet.
The mechs are missing a couple of extra legs. They must be holding out for the QUADS announcement[...]

Well it has been about a month since Battletech was last high on Steam sales charts but I notice today that it is back up to #7 pretty good for a pre-order
