Hi!

I love this mod and ofc this game. For me Victoria 2 is so difficult :C Anyone can briefly tell you how to play the game with certain countries? Because on Wikipedia there are guides for the regular version or the revolution.

These guides are still valid for VIP:R. Although VIP:R offers many more events, more detailed pops and an improved economy, it is still Victoria: Revolutions.

Well, I would argue, because, for example, we often talk about expanding colonies, and as you know, VIP has a lot of new countries with their events. For example, when you play with an uncivilized country, such as Japan, you cannot declare a colonial war NOT WITH YOUR NEIGHBORS. I also have a problem with the fact that I have to do something wrong, because at the beginning (and even later) I am not successful in "inviting" immigrants to my place; / I tried to change to landowners so that they would only vote etc. I still don't have emigration to myself (I tested it in Bolivia, Japan, China, etc.) Let me write the order again as easily as possible, because maybe I'm not doing something consecutively ... The same prestige (even after discovering cultural technologies) it flies like blood from the nose ... I will only "earn" something from prestige only during won wars and possibly if I manage to discover a few stateless provinces (probably 2 in Africa and 3 in Asia). I am begging you, help me, because the game is super cool, but sometimes it hurts that AI has a lot of prestige (5000+), and I have a max of 500? xD

I'm pretty sure one of the most important thing to get immigrants is plurality if you have low plurality chances are immigrants will not move to your country and another one is government type democracy will receive tons of migrants, constitutional monarchy get moderate amounts and dictatorship get none third is geography you have a greater chance of having tons of immigrants if you play as a country in the Americas but you still will be able to receive immigrants if you're in Europe at least that what happened when I usually play The UK and in 10-20 years I'm able to turn South Africa into a province from assimilated migrants but even then it's still not guaranteed you'll receive tons of immigrants
For example I played as the US I get immigrants in some part of the country but I also decided to have colonies in Africa from the start to the end of the game not even a single person move to the colony idk why oh and also having a good subsidy program could help attracting those immigrants

Plurality helps (I think?) but the TAG is also important (USA gets huge bonus just for being that TAG) and the party in power/policies/benefits as well, for deciding whether to move to the country.

After a POP decides to move to a country, specific provinces get picked based on the life rating of the province and I think maybe the RGO. Generally higher life rating means more immigrants, and gold producing provinces tend to attract more too. It's likely that you didn't get African immigration because those provinces had much lower life rating than your ones in New England (New York especially gets the best rating in game if I recall correctly).

I once had a game where I became a Frankfurt one-province industrial powerhouse by appointing a socialist party into power, which unlocked the policies like you mentioned, and once I set healthcare/education/pension etc to the highest levels, everyone flocked to my province.

Maybe but I'm playing as the US rn and annex Canada after winning in a war against the UK and then I decided to spawn a gold rgo through event in one province in Ontario thousand upon thousand of migrants flock to Ontario making Toronto the biggest city in the country in 15 years but one odd thing about it is that there's 300K population in an icy cold and low life rating province in northern Ontario so idk if life rating is really that matters

It's hard to say the exact weight of each factor, but here's the wiki page to explain all the factors. Seems gov type counts too (but again, I did play Frankfurt as a Const. Monarchy and still got tons of immigrants).
