Anyone dares to switch seniority?

So with the increased amount of death rates our dynasty members dies like a fly. I have no objections to that especially with viceroyalty law. On the other hand, I hate regencies and I do not want to set regency off as it is historical. The only short term solutions looks like seducing to many healthy heirs possible or trying seniority.
The last time I tried it I had rulers who ruled around 3-5 years. I hate discontent council that goes on 2 years.
Is there anyone who tries to switch seniority and can give us some feedback on it?
Is it still non-playable endless discontent rules the realm or seclusion helps a bit?

I switched to seniority to get rid of gavelkind and to be honest I dont think that the deathrates are too high (just about right), but maybe i have to play more to make up my mind.

Sure I had a King give up the ghost in his ninth year of wearing the crown which was a bit annoying because i wanted to change to ultimogeniture.
But when all the old heirs are dead you inevitably get a "younger" king who can do at least some things in his life.

It has some issues, but they don't bug the hell out of me the way gavelkind does.

I use assasinate button so I am so scared. Till I will have appointed my dynasty totally as my vassals I may not try elective.
I lack numbers in my dynasty so after my current ruler dies I will try seniority. I have changed it to agnatic so I have to wait my next ruler now.

I switched to Seniority out of Gavelkind a few times with no issues. Seems to work well with the higher death rate.

The warring sons with Gavelkind is too much of a pain in the butt. I started in 767 so everyone is young and people die more often. I just hate gavelkind too much.
