Hi there,

what about non rectangular Buildings, Parks, e.g.?

Why not an circular park or buildings and parks which uses all the space between the roads perfectly surrounding them - whatever the roads are formed?

Let's call it "fluid" parks and buildings...

That would be wonderful. Always tought it was a necessary addition to the game. I remember that harbour were zones in simcity 3000, I'd like to see something similar but adapting to the roads.

One problem is there are game mechanics tied to zoning squares, such as population density and amount of jobs. Implementing this would go much deeper than just graphics.

I would like to "zone" farmland and parks (perhaps a few different types) of any size/shape with a tool more like the "district" tool than the "zoning" tool.
As long as there was a road within the area, have farm stuff or park stuff grow around it.

This sort of thing does come up from time to time, so there is definitely interest.
