I took IGC2.3 and changed some things there.

1. I took Korea out and replaced it with Kazakhstan. My wife is from there and her brother helped me with historical leaders and generals. Made historical shields and flags too. Things do get interestring in Central Asia with Kazakhstan bordering Astrahan, Sibir and Uzbeks. I had to make some changes in resources for provinces where Kazakhstan is to make it more profitable. Still I made it a lot weaker then Uzbekistan, which historically was the power house in Cental Asia at that time.

2. I took Constantinopole out of Greece rebellious provinces under Turkey. Because if Greece declares independent it doesn't make sence that Constantinople becomes Greek and Turkey's capital has to move somewhere else.

3. I put Teutonic order back in latin group, because it is historically accurate and in all my IGC2.3 games, where they are in orthdox group, they melt away in first 50 years after taking a lot of abuse from P-L.

4. I gave Moguls a less colonization ability, it was just too
unhistoric for them to colonize as much as they do in IGC2.3

I am running my 4th hands off game now to finetune the power balance in Central Asia.

I think it is a lot more fun to have KZ in a game then Korea.
I will post my KZ_IGC2.3 to the Scenario download section when I am done.

Maybe if enought people are interested in changing Korea to Kazakhstan in IGC2.4 doomdark will make it happen. Especially since I have already done research and art work.

The Teutonic Knights are supposed to melt away quickly after taking a beating from Poland. That's why they were changed to Orthodox :D

yep TO was meant to be weak becaus eit was...Poland knocks it to peaces and then loses them to Russia who later loses parts to Sweden hehe

as for Khazakstan hey by all means have fun with it...im working on diffrent use of the tag for mongolia instead myself...and planning to take new spain tag and turn it into Burma or one of the muslim Java island area kingdoms...i think we all have our ideas for better use for them so unsure what will and wont make it to 2.4 hehe..although im pretty sure Korea and new spain will fade...

not reason korea sucks...look in build costs...she has none...you have to edit and make one.. also look at all the level 4 forst she has and japan and china...conquests are very hard for pagan nations vs level 4 forts...if you want to see action other than just dows...lower the forts again to where they belong abd instead raise their techs <make them latin> and make them sunni for4 the morale and ability to upgrade on their own...makes China a tough nut and japan as well...as they should be..neither was ever 100% conquered and level 4 forst are not really a problem once you get decent tech

I think the Kazakhstan idea very good. And you could aslo use the new spain tag for a siberian nation to. That would be good because Russia won't have to wait their time colonizing.

But this is just my humblw opinion.

After Livonic war (1558-1582), Livonic Order's territories were divided between Poland (Livonia) and Sweden (Estonia). Saaremaa, biggest island, was under Danish control. Sweden slowly gained control former Livonic territories, including city of Riga in 17th century. Poland remained owner of Kurland (southern Latvia, not as big as in EU). Then, after Great Northern War (1700-1721), Sweden lost control of Baltic states to Russia.

I played (and still playing) with Qazaqs, and I was pushing for their incorporation into IGC, however there is one big problem with them, they block Russia quite effectively, and quite often get thumped by Uzbeks, so Uzbeks grow out of proportion. Russia can surely defeat them, but the problem is that quite often Russia has to fight a two-front war, and it never (or rather rarely) recovers and colonizes Siberia. Unless they gonna fix a bouncing state gift thingie, nations will unite instead of fighting each other.

And, BTW, giving Qazaqs richer lands is waaaaaaaaaaay ahistorical. Aside from Turkestan (Yassy) and Sighnaq (which are in PTI) they didn't have any big cities, their economy was backward and never really went beyond raising cattle. I'll be interested though in a list of leaders/ monarchs you used, for comparison. I can give you mine.

Precisly because the richer KZ lands are in PTI I had to compromise and make one of their provinces grow cotton instead of wool. Don't get me wrong, KZ are still the weakest country in Cental Asia.

I have finished 4 hard off games with my configuration. In all games KZ is annexed by Russia. THe earliest I have seen this is 1640s and the latest in 1740s. Russia is always able to colonize siberia as I do not complety block their east progress with KZ. I purposely did not give Ichim to KZ, so Russia can colonize Siberia by conquring Sibir.

In only one of my games Uzbeks attacked KZ and got 2 provinces from them early in the game. They were allies afterwards. In other 3 games they did not fight each other and joined forces instead against Persia.

I gave KZ Tengiz, Karaganda, Semipalatinsk, Turgai, Aralsk, Alga and Emba. I didn't give them Ichim so as not to block Russia's advance eastward. I made Karaganda capital and the only city with population over 2000. The rest of cities are between 700 and 1400. It is true most of the best KZ land is in PTI, including their real capital. But I just learned to live with my mutated KZ.

I used leaders that are in KZ History book that they study in Kazakhstan. It has quite a few khans and bi. Others I just made up using Kazakh names. All the made up ones are weaker then real ones. I figure only the real good ones or bad ones get into history books.:)

hehe gee if we gonna lower polands tech group to make it easier on TO, then england has to go lower wouldnt want scotland to have a rough go or ireland, and france wouldnt want navare, lorraine and such to have rough time...and austria gotta save milan...leave my poles alone :) TO was a nation living on borrowed time..they were a group of politcal exiles having usurped land from a divided Poland and time catches up to them and they fade from history as it should be...and no changes are needed to make them playable really ive done it and done well..havent conquered the world or such as them but i have carved a fairly big chunk out of russia sweden and poland plus owning almost the whole baltic coastline without changes ...i have more recently increased certain prussia/to/pskov/and polish prov to reflect value of the amber trade and altered resources to account for it...and found the region far more stable than usual...and TO and Prussia both far more playable then before..this is not a unbalancing act ot handicapping your neighbors just so you can play <heck if you gonna hurt their tech why not just hit f12 and use events to increase yours...same difference to me> i am in favor of changes that have historical justification one way of the other...then again people may or may not agree with me on that either lol..or what the end result is of the justification but hey thats the fun of this ...by all means do what you feel is necessary to have fun playing and disreguard my comments...after all its your enjoyment that matters to you...i just had to post though on it hehe ...but truly i feel TO is quite playable without handicapping your neighbors...you may lose but thats whats so fun about the game..if you cant lose whats the point? I find TO one of the most fun to play..its not rediculously small <ragusa, knights etc> not oversized and truly takes lots of skill to survive..1 prov nations arent much challenge as player natiosn sicne we cant be annexed unless you really edit that as well <of course your game will crash but if you lsoe bye bye...i often save during wars then if i lose i reload as a diffrent nation and keep going so my first nation is gone and i try off with someone else from ther point the computer left it...also have done this to build up neighbors...playing russia to get them big then switching to the nation that i really want to play etc

as to corrections above on historical fall of TO ..good job..yes my time scale was way off...was typing fast and didnt bother to recheck my events beforehand..basically after Tannerman, battle of, TO just fell part and never recovered
