I think I have my choice

Well, I think, if it alright, I shall choose to be Ostrogscy. My people love me, they really love me!:D
So, what is needed for me to do? This looks to be an incredibly sweet idea, and I thoroughly lokk forward to having a go at it. Are we going to communicate via ICQ,e-mail or PM? If so, I shall need to reinstall ICQ, no problem there. What is the easiest way to go?

Do you mean when we start a game? I will start new thread where you will post (see Italy AAR to see how it works). But if you have any quetions before, ask me (PM, ICQ, or something)
First of all, you will have to create your character, soon, Gen.Suvorov will finish his page . It will also contain laws of commonwealth (AAR laws, not historical), and will have baloon halp describing skills.
Well, i will try to post some more info today (exact nobles territory, info on new factions (churches)etc.

We need at least someone for Wisniowieccy family, i can dump Potoccy.
And i hope Warspite will play Prymas (head of catholic church).

If someone have good ideas for what church players can do, i would appreciate it, i have hard time thinking about it :(

I don't know Polish history really, but was Poland a very religious country that paid attention to the demands of Church? If so, Warspite would have to give his permission for a war, or a crusade perhaps :D

Yes, but also very tolerant. Anyway, in XVI century all countries were religious, IMHO ;). hmmm, think permission from church is too much. Church had much to say, but that will be represented by high persuasion skill. Also, Prymas is an interrex, he takes role of king until new one is elected.

I think of abitlity to "excommunicate" a noble, so his subject will have a much decreased loyalty (reduced income, increased revolt risk, etc)

Or even a king?
I'm also thinking of some foreign diplomatic ties, that Prymas will be able to make some deals with catholic powers, and Metropolite with orthodox

Can he also excommunicate me? :D

Sure, but since you're orthodox, and you're people also, it won't hurt you much.
I think Prymas may affect (by excommunicating) catholic peasants, and in some way, catholic nobles (reducing their persuasion skill, or something like that). Metropolite will affect ortodox peasants and orthodox nobles.

Anyone know of a regal Polish name to use?

I must admit, I know little about Polish History, but does anyone have an idea for a good Polish name? I mean, part of my family comes from Poland, but I do not think Filipkowski is a fairly regal name. Any ideas?
Thanks

P.S. Ok, if I wanted to be Roman Ostrogscy, would that work?I have never ever done anything like this before, so you will to forgive my trepidation.

When should I submit my player on the generals page.

Don't do it yet. The page is far from finished. It will change a lot. So wait till the page is up and running, game mechanics are sorted out etc...

Here is page which contains names of Commonwealth hetmans.
I suggest something like Dymitr, Michal, Feliks, Andrzej or some Russian names (for Glinscy).
Or you can browse EU leader files :) For Glinscy, I suggest Tver(from byzantine saga), Novgorod, Pskov names.

Oop, mistook two families:rolleyes: . Well, same goes for Ostrogscy.
