Anybody else noticed? There are fewer women rulers, in DW?

Just thought about this when playing Sweden a while ago, I was looking at the map kind of checking how Germany's situation has changed and noticed that Lüneburg, a vassal, was ruled by a Duchess.

I think definitely in earlier EU3 add-ons there were female rulers more frequently? Even if you couldn't use them as field commanders they tended to have much superior stats :laugh:

It would be good if EU3 had a family tree system, which showed dates of your important family members and how the thrown has changed hands. Kind of like Rome Total War done.

I've never had a female ruler, and I've completed games as England, Ottomans (made sense here), France, and now Bavaria. However there have been some rulers in Bavaria that were named Ferdinand Maria, heh.

My best ruler in my Byzantium game was actually a woman. Pretty awesome stats also, 9/9/6. During her rule i helped Austria keep its position as HREmperor and divided Eastern Europe with them. Amazingly, Austria also had a Queen.

However, after her death, Austrian might ended my influence north of the balkans. Shouldnt have helped the bastards.

Also in my most recent Norway game, my third ruler was Margaret of Lancaster (3/3/4) who ruled for thirty years, thanks to a Royal Marriage with England Norway is still being ruled by the Lancasters. As are France, Milan, Austria, Poland, and a number of smaller countries.

Even if the woman is of age and the boy is not and there's no one else to rule?

In that case she probably would have been named regent until he was of age....and judging by the rumor mill of the age he would have likely suffered a horrific accident before getting much older, leaving his sister as the full queen. :laugh:
